Robbie left under a cloud, wrote that and other songs that made him a superstar. A few years later they famously reconciled and he recorded new songs and went back on stage with them. A good example of the post reconciliation songs that would be great to react to include ‘The Flood’. It was a feel good story when they did this.

He played Knebworth 3 nights running to a crowd of 125,000 per night. Robbie Williams was a member of Take That, huge huge boy band in the 90s. Robbie left the band and went solo, and became one of the biggest musicians of the millennium here. The song's lyrics are about Williams' feelings about his time in his former band. He frequently dedicated this song to the other members (Mark Owen, Gary Barlow, Jason Orange and Howard Donald) in live versions . Take That reformed without Robbie in 2006 and were extremely successful for a second time. RW is awesome!!! A true definition of a "enterteiner".

Always great to see reactions to Robbie Williams on youtube from reactors who are not familiar with him. At one point in time, he was one of the biggest male popstars overseas. I was very fortunate to be exposed to his music from my cousins who are from England. The studio version of this song has Neil Tennant from the Pet Shop Boys providing background vocals. This song was released in 1997/1998 from what I recall, a couple of years after leaving Take That. He is on good terms with the guys from Take That now and did reunite with them in the 2010s. Take That's 'Back for Good" (with Robbie) was the only song of theirs that got some exposure in the mid 90s in the U.S. and Canada. The Robbie solo songs that got some very modest exposure in the U.S./Canada was "Millenium", "Feel" and Jessica Simpson's cover of "Angels", from what I recall.

Robbie never cracked the US but he has so many great songs. Check out "Let Me Entertain You", "Come Undone", "Angels", and "Back For Good" which he performs with Mark Owen, from this concert. Also "Radio" live in Leeds. Check out his song "Karma Killer" in which he holds a note for an extraordinary length. His breath control is astonishing!

Love this reaction! When Robbie left Take That, things were messy. The band broke up a year later but got back together 10 years later (still without Robbie). Then Robbie rejoined and they recorded an album reflecting on their past, called Progress. Such a beautiful album! They have all matured and forgave each other. The hate in the past was mainly between Robbie and Gary (the lead singer of TT) but they are friends and care about each other. They even made a duet together called Shame and it's about their past. The music video is hilarious too because it's inspired by the movie Brokeback Mountain. I would love to see you react to it.

Great reaction and great song. As others mentioned they later reunited for a record and a tour 2010. Today they are on good terms with each other. The Flood live from Progress tour with him back in the band is a great live performance. Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow also did a "forgive me" song together called Shame.

Robbie has such a great stage presence. You could do a Take That reaction so you can get some context. Something from the 90s before Robbie left the band, like Patience or Back For Good. Take That were a huge UK boy band in the early 90s and Robbie left under a cloud in 95 having had problems with drugs and alcohol. He rejoined that band in 2010 for a tour etc. Robbie became a huge star in his own right in the years following 95. He was huge - he was entered into the Guinness Book of World Records when one of his tours sold 1.5 million tickets in a day. Other big Robbie hits you could try are Angel, Let Me Entertain You (a personal fave - it’s great live) or Millennium.

Robbie was only 16 when the band was formed. They were very successful, they were happy, but then he felt disappointed with his position in the band. He began to treat his problems with alcohol and then with drugs. When they kicked him out of the band, he broke down and felt hurt by them, especially one of them. He wrote this song about it.

In 1991, Take That are formed, members of the group are Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Robbie Williams, Howard Donald and Jason Orange. In 1995, Robbie Williams left Take That for a solo career. In 1996, Take That disbanded, In 2006, Take That regrouped without Robbie Williams. In 2010, Robbie Williams rejoined Take That for their smash hit album “Progress.” In 2011, Robbie Williams left Take That again, amicably and still sings with them from time to time, Jason Orange also leaves Take That in 2011, Take That continues as a group of 3 members

Is Funny to hear someone that doesn't know Robbie... a UK Superstar and a great Showman. Everyone during his Peak Years in Take That thought it would be Gary Barlow that would have the successful Solo Carer, However Take That reformed in 2006 after 10 years of Splitting with Robbie not rejoining but preformed with them in a one off show, they all seem to be friends now. Robbie Williams with Taylor Swift at Wembly would be great to see you both react too singing Angels

Split from the band Take That. A huge British boy band. Put together very young. Robbie was the youngest. Touring,age,drinking led to him ultimately leaving the band as things got untenable due to him late for rehearsals,photoshoots etc.

Robbie is an a amazing artist…I’ve seen him perform over 10 times. He has since performed with his former band mates as Take That and Robbie I’m so glad they have sorted their differences. They were very young when they became famous ad I don’t think they were protected. Listen to Karma Killer by Robbie a song about the old Take That.Manager

The irony with this, is I was at this concert on the final night and Mark Owen joined him on stage. It was such an emotional moment and the crowd went insane. The band are now on good terms with Robbie, albeit Jason has stepped away now and no longer speaks to any of the band. Robbie’s documentary on Netflix is good to watch the full story.

Robbie left the band in 1995 and, for years, he went on insulting his bandmates, in particular, the lead singer Gary Barlow, and, also, the manager Nigel Martin Smith every chance he got through songs, during concerts, and interviews on tv and with the press. It became an obsession. He felt that they had treated him unfairly while he was in the band and the manager Smith had favored Gary Barlow. There has always been a sort of love-hate relationship with Gary. Robbie admired him but he was jealous of him too. Over the years he dedicated to Gary Barlow other songs such as Ego a go go. Back then Robbie was struggling with addictions: drugs, pain killer, and alcohol. The five of them made up in 2007. Robbie and Gary are friends and sometimes work together.
@sunny70299
@sunny70299 Жыл бұрын
Robbie was only 15 when he joined, the closest in age to him was Mark who was 3 years older. Their manager, as all managers do treated them like a commodity, over worked them and played them off against each other. Robbie being so young took all that to heart and started drinking heavily to cope. He famously OD on drugs the night before the MTV Europe awards when he was only 19, their manager had his stomach pumped and then rolled him out on stage the next day because he didn't want to cancel the performance or have to explain Robbies abscence. 19 years old and you are wheeled out on stage 24 hours after ODing. It messed him up and no wonder. The shit boybands are put through to make record companies money is no joke.

I think Robbie left Take That because, even though there were five guys in the band, Gary Barlow took most of the credit and always insisted that he sang the songs, there are not many songs that the other guys actually sang. Also I think there were creative differences as Robbie as we have seen since the split is an incredible writer, singer and performer, and he felt that his voice was not being heard, which led to arguments and eventually the split. I think this performance was a year or two after the split, the guys had not spoken to each other for that entire time and there was a lot of animosity towards Robbie especially, a few years later Jason left Take That, and I think he went more into writing songs rather than performing. Saying that I think he did have a couple of songs but nothing compared to Robbie. The band did reunite a long time after the split, done a few songs, then went back into obscurity. There is no doubting that the guys from Take That are very talented, but Robbie at this time during his solo career went from strength to strength

Those words in this song true emotion. take that used to make accusations that robbie was stealing all the spotlight how he used to make everything about him yada yada so he fucked them off and went his own way then he's done his own shows and he pulls people in he did a show in Leeds Roundhay Park and he told the crowd he got a call to go say goodbye to take that and say goodbye properly to them and the fans because he never did so he met them yada yada then he said BUT I saw I sold 3million tickets for my Worldwide tour so... but gary barlow always had quite an ego though I love take that but to accuse one of their own band members of stealing the glory isn't fair but robbie does better on his own anyway 😊
