Aurora's music is frequently inspired by nature. She told The Sun: "'Running With The Wolves' is about freedom and joining nature again, getting away from phones and radio and all the stuff we keep around us." Aurora wrote the song during the blood moon in 2014. She told The 405: "I just imagined the moon turning all the people around the world into wild animals, running away from all the rules, all the materialism and technology. Just being a part of nature again, running free."

I am so happy that you found Aurora eventually! I don't need any other singers than Aurora and Angelina in my life. They are different but both is so amazingly good. Auroras lyrics should be on the curriculum for every school in the world because they are unique, meaningfull and universal. She deals with nature and human relations and misbehavior.. 😋 She is all about love and equality..

Aurora is a Norwegian 24 year old singer song writer and producer. She started writing music at the age of 6 and started adding lyrics at the age of 9. All in secret from every one, even from her family. She was'nt discovered before she was in her mid-teens. She has 2 EPs and 2 Albums (+one coming this year hopefully) Her voice is truly uniqe, so much that Disney got her to be the voice calling out to Elsa in Frozen 2, both in the movie and in the song Into the unknown. Billie Eilish has said in a couple of interviews that she got inspired to pursue a music career of her own, after watching Auroras music video Runaway. Her music videos are great, but I feel her live performances really shows what an amazing artist she is. Great reaction! Hoping for more Aurora. @@Danny_R_ I don't know Aurora either. But her 2 big sisters are Miranda and Victoria. Is it possible the girl you saw her hand in hand with was one of her sisters and you could be assuming otherwise? Just asking Danny. Not accusing. I would never tell a Viking warrior he didn't know what he was talking about. I trust the Aurora fan that said beheading then drinking from my skull would be swiftly done. 😝

@@jamil2447 ahh. Didn't even cross my mind for some reason... Smh.. But then again the way they acted i just got more then family/sister vibe... I did abit of Googling and it ws not her sister. Apparently she likes both men and women. Idk if she is still with this girl. And only thing i really remember she looking like was long curly hair and she was way taller then Arora. But the thing i remember the most is aurora and not because she is who she is but she was wearing this beautiful green long flowery summer dress and she had like a aura around her... So her name fits her well. She just drew attention to her...

I am glad that 2 of my favorite reactors have decided to review one of my favorite artists, Aurora Aksnes. I believe it's well worth the effort to try and explain my understanding of this message video. BJ is correct about the wiring not being Tumbleweed it represents the corporate connection to humanity not cyborgs. The city behind her (the wire's origin), represents corporate control. By ripping loose from the control wiring she will join a wolf pack in order to remain free.The guy in the truck is obviously an Orwellian cop sent to capture the seditious runner. And Asia, regarding your observation of her soft vocals, It's Aurora's way of delivering a deeply dark and honest message with the soft sweetness of cotton candy. Props to you two for questioning this mysterious elf of the Norwegian Forest. There is much more in store. I am recommending two other vids that will give you a little better perspective on the variety within the Aurora repertoire, the live performance of Conqueror on the Late Show with Jimmy Fallon and The vid featuring The Murder Song. Plus there are multiple interview vids that highlight her personality and quirky sense of humor. Sorry for the lengthy preface but this novel entitled "Aurora" is a long story. Stay well--keep up the excellent work.

You should try to see her live videos instead of the music videos. You haven't really heard Aurora until you've seen her perform. The studio versions are good, but they don't do her justice at all. Americans can probably just pronounce her name as Ah-Ro-Ra. The video represents being tied to "technology" or modern society and wanting to be free, to run with the wolves. I can also ABSOLUTELY recommend Aurora's cover of God is a Woman by Ariana Grande. It's pure amazing. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJ_CZ5xtjMqXY8U

She's got some of that Alanis Morissette (sp?) "flavor" in her delivery with that little up-tick in the last syllables of some of her diction. This is a great grouping of artists and bands that have come together to produce this style of "sound," share it with the rest of the world, and in turn, make sure that the Folk music and songs of their ancestors won't ever disappear. When things get passed down to later generations only by word-of-mouth, a lot of things tend to get lost.

I thought it's quite easy to understand or interpret the video - she's trying to leave the city but still being connected to it, finally she chugs away the wires before the man in the car gets her back to where she runs from, and she runs to nature, place where shee feels like herself :D

We are the ones who are the cyborgs when we should be running wild with the wolves. But maybe you're not into the Aurora vibe. I would definitely try more before you make up your minds. Ok, I have some large amount of respect for your analysis, given that it's your first time watching or listening to Aurora. Much of what you say is admittedly wrong, but from a first-look perspective.... well, at least you ACTUALLY have a sound perspective. The video itself is very artistically done and can be interpreted in many ways, and I'll bet with you that Aurora's team intended that. Doubt that cyborg was one of those intended interpretations but I see your point of how she moved robotically. (Incidentally, she I've seen Aurora actually dance that way many times, not just in this video). It's Aurora's voice that's the real charmer here. I'm looking forward to you listening and reviewing her other songs/videos. The more you listen and watch Aurora, the more this video would actually make sense. Cheers to your journey!

Not the best song to start with to get the essence of Aurora. Might i suggest Through the eyes of a child stripped Vevo UK LIFT, or either of the performances at the 2015 Nobel peace prize concert Runaway or Murder song (5,4,3,2,1). As to her gestures, when Aurora performs she puts everything into it and just goes with whatever her soul feels at the moment. Her live performances are superior in my opinion, the more stripped the better.

Aurora expresses in this song that people have lost their connection with nature and its wild side, which makes other people lose it too. And what is worse, is that people who want to feel that connection with their wild side again, are branded as crazy and they destroy them so that they "fit" in society.
@MiguelMunoz-gb6vc3 жыл бұрын
Aurora represents herself with those cables, as someone who seeks this connection with nature, corrupted by society, the cables represent this desire for people to be all the same. They consider them defective. But clearly it has nothing to do with cybor or anything half human half robot, it is rhetoric represented that way

Now she was connected to wires meaning technology to the city KZbin iPhone all that nonsense that makes you feel uncomfortable but it's very hard to get away from that that's why It took so long and the guy in the car didn't want her to escape from the norm so she's finally went free to her safe place just like we should grew up and no she was not walking like a robot she was just being pulled by the wires from the city just connected trying to get away from it the whole time and they just look like a robot until you understand what's going on, capiche. Very easy to understand. It would help if you look up the lyrics. You have to listen to her live perform because she's a dancer techno dancer she likes the late 90s techno also yoga and choreography dancing and she does all that stuff exercising and whatnot . But the videos non-live don't do her justice she's just as amazing live because she expresses herself and her body and her eyes and her face sometimes her eyes turn red from tears like Through The Eyes of a child .
