Aurora's music is frequently inspired by nature. She told The Sun: "'Running With The Wolves' is about freedom and joining nature again, getting away from phones and radio and all the stuff we keep around us." Aurora wrote the song during the blood moon in 2014. She told The 405: "I just imagined the moon turning all the people around the world into wild animals, running away from all the rules, all the materialism and technology. Just being a part of nature again, running free."

So much in all of her MVs. She is the real deal, a brilliant R-Teest. The MV for I Went Too Far seems to get overlooked. It’s from mid-2016. She’s always gorgeously deep. I haven’t seen much delving and analytical treatment of that one, as well of two of her most challenging videos, for several reasons, Apple Tree and Animal. Deeper reactions to Apple Tree and Animal MVs would require lengthier segments, for the opportunity to comment in real time as well as grapple with unpacking the visuals combined with the lyrics. All of her MVs are unique. So much to process and decipher. The themes and metaphor in The Apple Tree MV are even more challenging, as the lyrics are more of a poem. Apple Tree is a tough nut to crack, and needs the lyrics pulled up, and read again after the viewing. A reading of her own online comments after her songs might be interesting too. I wonder if specials segments on more challenging MVs would be successful. I think the attempt would be cool. Goodness knows, many of us wrestle with trying to pick up on, comprehend and contemplate a lot of the serious and creative content out there.

I love watching people going through the same maze of awestruck enjoyment that I did regarding Aurora. Being from Bergen myself it gives it an extra dimension. Now that Norway has opened up after C19 (yesterday, the 25th of September at 1600) I hope there will be many opportunities to experience her music live. By the way, I hope you have her performance together with Warduna on your list. Wardruna is also a band from Bergen that dives into Viking related music and they invited Aurora to participate on their live show performing the song Helvegen. What a treat that was. It was this performance that led me into searching for more Aurora. And what a rabbit hole that was. In the best possible sense.

Hi Larry I’ve seen Aurora live twice now and I’d like to tell you of my experience, first thing there’s no doubt in my mind that Aurora is the best live performer I’ve ever seen seen in concert and believe me at my age of 65 I have seen numerous artists live since the 70s,but this girl is special there we’re times when there was complete silence as she held you in the palm of her hand as she sang poetry to your soul moving emotions inside of you you never thought you had other times the whole concert erupted into singing along with Aurora some in tears for the words had special meaning a message as if just for them and then there were times when you looked at Aurora and she was so shy as if did not know how good she really is but what I loved was the humility she has with her fans her warriors as they are liked to be called, she engaged with them constantly with pure affection and love talking and meaning every word she said.yes she is a beautiful humble human soul who touches hearts and I was so blessed to have been there to witness Aurora for she simply is a Genius ❤️💚💙💛🧡🍎🎭

I love watching your reactions to Aurora. It is like looking back into a mirror the first time I watched these incredible songs. If you want to cry, I know you have already mentioned "Lucky" on your list - that will do it, so will "Infections of a Different Kind" The live version at the HAIK concert is wonderful. Also "I Went Too Far" Live on the Honda stage. The saddest part of this song is that Aurora tells us at the start that it isn't a sad song, when it is one of the sadest songs that I have ever heard. Knowing that she doesn't realise how sad it is breaks my heart for her.

New subscriber here, I've watched your reactions in chronological order and can say your perception of her is uncanny. Aurora is a genius Empath; she can feel other's emotions, moods, and energy as well as project her own emotions to her listeners. As for her songs, she has said her biggest influences were Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, and Enya, I'm certain you've picked up on how she's enhanced the elements each of her influencers bring to their music. Lyrically, I believe she has no match in modern music, the way she can compose a song which can have so many different meanings to so many different people. And yet, these people open-mindedly and passionately feel everything Aurora is sharing with them as if she wrote the song for them, personally. If that isn't genius, I don't know what is. For her to be able to do it in a second language as she does is mind-blowing! You are the first reactor who had the same visceral reaction to this video masterpiece as myself. As I've said in many comments about 🧚 Aurora, she does something in this video which no other artist in the world has the ability to do - she gives you GOOSEBUMPS with a SILENT scream 😍 Thanks for the nice reaction 👏

@@larryshair when you have a chance, either for your personal enjoyment or as a reaction, I HIGHLY recommend watching the HAIK (Hike) documentary for insight into what makes Aurora, Aurora. As you know, there is a concert at the end of the show but Aurora didn’t know ALL that was going to happen. The look on her face as these surprises come to light is absolutely priceless👏 She is an amazing artist and human being who we are blessed decided to listen to her mother’s advice and become an artist. But as Aurora is never truely please with her song she makes them evolve, so the concert version is almost always a bit ( or a lot) different. You can get the same song in different feelings. I haven't red all the comment from my fellow warriors and wierdos, ( the fan's name) but I garantie you that you'll never be out of surprise with her. Wolves are wild and.. free. And of course video shows chains and that she wants to be free and in the some time someone drive to her to take her back to "Mega city". Great song, great video and of course also as usual your reaction :). On short: It is about breaking some chains of our civilization and technology and return to nature:). Love how she sing wolves (like howling) and contrast between baren word of "mega city" and a nature and how she calm is in the pictures with nature. Great song and video:). Of course it does not mean we need to live like in old days just to find balance and also remember about this calming and simpler live/joys too and to care about remaining nature areas:). Also Aurora is always about take care of nature as she finds inspiration for music in it and it is a place you can just be yourself and no one wants anything from you. And as far many see it is more and more destroyed/polluted/removed by humans. There is more songs about this topic like f.e. "The Seed" (f.e. official video) or great live performance "Soulless Creatures" from Bergen 2020. Second one is a song from the perspective of Mother Nature (it help a lot with lyrics interpretation :) ). I will also add I like some example analogy with "Running with the Wolves" about mobile phones which we are using all the time. From one point of view it is great thing as we are able to reach each other all the time. But from other perspective it is like chain (f.e. connected with work or when we need to be alone and "charge up" our mental batteries).

Or, "Exist for Love"......a love song by Aurora, her vocals are B-E-A- Utiful ......"The River" and "The Seed".... OH.....and "Queendom" these are all great official video versions.... If we're doing "Lucky" next, I HIGHLY suggest going back to Live in Nidarosomen, even hardcore official video fans will say this is the better version..... Once again Larry, thanks for your thoughts and insights and sharing your journey...... I have a strange request (I guess) Aurora does many different covers, and everytime she covers a song from a different artist or band, she truly makes it her own. The more reviewed and viewed is an in studio live performance with Silja, Fred, and Magnus, that is performed either the day after or a few days after Siljas Mother passed away, it's a truly heartfelt performance, the name of the radio station is escaping me at the moment. Christine's Radiofest. The other performance if this song that is less reviewed but should be more reviewed is her "Live at the Carona stage 2021" A performance she did during the heart of the pandemic in an empty theatre with mannequins. It's incredible and I can't make it through the song with a dry eye.

Exist for Love is her first and only love song. The MV is stunning. Fun fact: The audio in the video is her very first recorded demo of the song. She decided to release this because “ I thought world could use it right now”

Per usual, the live version is much purer in its emotion. But I do appreciate this music video much more after listing to your comments.

I think you have "got" her but also I think she is very sensuous. In the same way that a very small girl loves to touch, feel, move, experience, I think she still is like that.

Lucky will be heart breaker. You need KEXP live, all is soft inside first or Queendom (music video) Keep up the great reactions.

BTW: I am surprised nobody has commented on how strong a runner she is in this video. Of course she must be very athletic to dance the way she does.

The fact he gets so invested in the artist makes the pausing not even a problem at all to me. Most pausing only angers people because the reactor misses something due to it. But he is so invested he is sure to pull everything he can out of a song. It's great. Wish more people did it for that reason.

Great to see your reactions, it's like re-living our first time listening to Aurora! I think I could count with the fingers of one hand the times I had cried with a song before Aurora, but she has some special magic that really gets you in the soul! If you want another song that hits you hard, try her version of "Believer". The magic in her voice is like a mermaid calling you: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q5S8Y2Stga-bhdE

Again, there is no direct connection between the individual songs. That's fanfiction. What indirectly connects the songs is the topic but not the story. There is no direct connection between murder, lucky, it happend quite and all the other songs. To this song. Away from society back to nature. This includes technology and people. That's why she runs away from the man. He is representative of the people who want to prevent Aurora from being free. He stands for the people who want to tell her "no you can't do that". People who want to force her into a position in society where she neither belongs nor wants to be. Aurora's music videos are all always associated with the song.

Great reaction again... I will not give you a new song this time; I know you have a long list :-) Tip: You might know this, but "k" pauses the video, or starts it, arrow left jumps 5 sec back, and "j" jumps 10 sec back :-)

Larry take a break from the heavy stuff and do Either "Exist for LOve" masterpiece of vision and song and Cure For Me which defies genre. both Aurora productions. I do like your reactions very much. One benifit in doing Aurora and Angelina is your likes and subs will go up.
