Welcome to Band-Maid! The best hard rock band I have heard in my 58 years on this planet. They don't stick to any one genre and often mix genres in songs. They are extremely diverse and have an extensive back catalogue featuring Punk, Pop-Punk, Hard-Rock, Classic Rock, Metal, Prog, Blues, Jazz, Groove, Rap etc. From face melting 220 bpm punk-prog to ballads, instrumentals to acoustics they do it all. They are also five of the nicest people in music, without a shred of ego. They are funny and fun and world class musicians to boot. They are currently into their 11th year with the original line up.

Band-Maid songs are usually uplifting and positive =) The song "Hate? " was written for a friend of Saiki's the lead singers , her husband was cheating on her ! Best hard rock band on Earth today. Very diverse musically, extremely talented (all of them) and the most brilliant songwriting I've ever heard outside of the Beatles, in that they just don't do bad tracks. They can melt your face or make you cry. They are a musicians band, yet very accessible. And as people, they are extremely hard working and above all, love and appreciate their fans on a level I've never seen.

Thanks for the wonderful reaction. This is an amazing band, very diverse and unique in their sound. If your first reaction is with this song, you might get the impression that these gals are pretty intense, maybe angry musicians. Nothing is actually further from the truth: these women are about the nicest and sweetest human beings you can run across - the instrumentalists are all pretty much goofy music nerds lol. These women are tight-knit and care for each other like sisters. The band's musicianship is world class, but imo it's the band's gifted songwriting that makes them one of the best in the business today.

They're the coolest female rock band, really, but sometimes some guys make the singer who wrote the lyrics angry. The performance of these 5 phenomenal young women rockers lasted 3h30. I saw it live. Absolutely awesome. I appreciated your comments, thanks man.

Man, what a good band! Saiki (the singer) contributes but this is only the second song she wrote all the lyrics. They aren't usually so abrasive. You'll get a ton of suggestions and they're all good. I'll suggest a slower rocker, *"Manners."* They've got "it" so whatever you pick will be fine.

Some of the Maidiacs claim to have read or heard that these lyrics are about the boyfriend or husband of Saiki's (lead vocalist) best friend. Personally, that sounds like a perfect cover story as the lyrics sound more personal than that. Regardless, by now I believe the dude knows who he is.
