Summer child is referred to someone, regardless if they are from the south or the north who was born during the long summers. Someone who has not yet lived long enough to know the horrors of life and horrors of what is to come. Since you guys are so new to GOT and don’t know the rollercoaster ride you are in for, your audience calls you sweet summer child 😂😂😅

Hola! I've been following you guys since your first videos (Pulp fiction and Lord of the rings) but never took the time to post you both a comment. I'm loving your recent consistency AND the movies and series selection. As many others have pointed, your reactions have what the rest of the reaction channels lack: Authenticity, and vulnerability. And i love that so much. I think is so easy to connect with your raw emotionality, and with your random scattered thoughts and impressions and points of view of whatever it is you end up talking about! Without noticing it i've been listening your long long long discussions while washing the dishes, walking in the city, riding the bus... Just so you know, being in a very bad spot as I am and having a really hard time in my life, you guys have become this safe space for me :) A notification from your channel pops up and a smile in my face appears. And I wanted to say thank you for helping me through and making it a little bit eaiser. And last but not least!!! Im a GOT fan, I saw it as it was airing through the years and it was worth the waiting. So, if you sweet summer children keep up this pace of 2 reactions per week and long reviews, fantastic. BUT!!! If you feel the need to take your time (Believe me, the ride gets WILD), recharge your batteries and whatever, PLEASE DO. Because you are worth the time waiting as well. As a psychologist my self (And i know that you know this) taking care of your time and energy is essential. And if you decide to take whatever time it suits for you, so be it. We do not follow you two for fake, plastic, scripted, unauthentic reactions, there are other channels for that. So If you take months of years until you finish, okay! This mentally gonner will be around! Much much love From Bogotá, Colombia. Chao!

Great catch about the Mormonts… Jorah (traveling with Daenerys) and Jeor (Night’s Watch Commander). They are indeed related. Most viewers don’t catch it. You will know more as you go. Their sigil is the bear and their words: ‘Here we stand’. House Mormont is vassal to House Stark.

Apologies if someone has already said this, but there's a bunch of supplemental content up om KZbin called the "History and Lore" videos, one per season. They were originally extra features on the physical releases. It's optional, but watching (and maybe reacting?) to the corresponding videos at the end of each season might help provide context. Either way, just found this and loving the reactions and discussion!

Your enthusiasm to see/'React' to this Series is commendable! Your willingness to THEN engage in a long reflection about what was just seen even more so! Lots of 'Reactors' are great, but very few dedicate that kind of time/effort into discussing the Chapter shared to the degree you two, do! The ending scene of this Chapter is perhaps my most-favorite of the entire Series. Born the youngest of four, with three older brothers, I'm the definition of a 'Tomboy' and refuse to ever apologize for it. Papa was a Marine, and he taught all of us how to defend ourselves, using our bodies or anything else we could get ahold of. He and Momma often fought about my pursuit of 'Boy stuff,' but this was one thing Papa refused to give in to. He knew the value of self-defense, and being his only Daughter, believed I should know it. Seeing Ned Stark standing there, watching as his Daughter is learning to wield a sword? I've seen that, IRL. That combination of worry, concern, but also pride. I'll never forget it, and am eternally thankful Papa had my back in the training. Thank you! This Universe/Series deserves it. :-)

Best reaction channel I have found in a long time. You guys noticing that Ned was hearing actual metal sword clanging when Arya was training with Syrio was amazingly insightful for a first watch. I have seen this show all the way through many times and I never noticed that for some reason. I cant remember if that part was in the book or not, or if it was put in by the showrunners, either way it was brilliant. Chances are it was GRRM, because that dude is a fucking genius. The way he writes his dialogue is so goddamn good. Giving you tidbits about the history of the people and places, without it seeming horribly cheesy.

A 'fell' is an old word for a hill, a piece of moorland. 'Winterfell' means 'Winter's Hill'. There are plenty of fells in England's Lake District and the Pennine mountains. Back when GOT was originally airing, I'm not sure if KZbin reactions were a thing, and I didn't really have internet access then. What I did listen to were podcasts, there were dozens of them, recapping the story, giving opinions, some of them comparing the show to the books making speculations. Some of them were hours long. You bring back those days to me. And the funny thing is, I didn't have Sky TV, so had to wait until the DVDs came out six months after a season aired. I used to listen to the podcasts without having seen the show. Anyhow, great stuff.

@mentallygonereacts3 ай бұрын
Beautifully said, you can definitely see the weariness on his face. I have to agree with you that it's sad to see; his sons are growing older and he was probably expecting to allow them to step into the role as head of their house and Winterfell, and to finally get some rest for himself. I'm really rooting for and loving the Starks so far, they seem to be so much more connected and genuine than the others

The changes in the intro is NOT always on each episodes, but they do get changed frequently, especially when we get introduced to new places or some imprtant event affects that place. Anyway, it's safe to just not skip the intro because the theme is epic as it is, and also rewatching them familiarizes/ingrains you the location of places on the map, the world of ASOIAF is quite large. For instance, you mentioned the Narrow Sea at the last episode. From the perspective of the old world, the distance would've been great especially traveling by foot and seas, so the horde of barbaric men across the sea was still ignored for now because they still don't pose a threat to Westeros (a whole other continent from Essos where Daenerys is).

Peeing over the wall! I enjoy revisiting this universe/story with you guys ^^ And the discussion afterwards is really interesting! I see some people complaining that's it's too long but personally I wouldn't want you to limit yourself to try and fit a shorter format. It feels much more relaxed this way ^^ On the other hand I can understand that point of view because if I was sitting down and trying to watch this video for 3 hours straight... Well I actually wouldn't be able to! My attention would get diverted to other stuff too easily... So what I do instead is watch the video up to the end of the literal reaction and then I let the video continue and just listen to the discussion part of the video instead of watching, like I would a podcast, while doing chores, stuff I can do with minimal brain power and would otherwise be soooooo bored doing :)

Arya as a noble lady supposed to mary some lord for the good of the family. So that why she was brought to the roayl court so she could probably be presented to future fiance. In the books Jon was literaly forced to go to the Wall by Ned(in the show it's show more like his own desicion). Because since Ned was going to become Hand of the King and leave winterfell Catelyn remained in charge and she told her husband that she would tolerate presence of Jon in Winterfell. And Ned cant took bastard to the royal court as well. So it seemed to be like only option to sent Jon to Wall. 2:47 :10 You maybe dont remeber in 1st episode when King Robert greeted Starks, He said to Bran:" Show me you muscles. the ending scene where Ned hears the ringing of swords clashing is purely foreshadowing. he knows there's a conflict on the horizon, everyone knows it. King Robert said the same on their way down from Winterfell. so what was initially a sense of pride and joy at seeing his daughter engaging with something that she seems to love doing, turns to dread at the sight of her in mock combat. its a reminder of whats to come if he doesn't nimbly navigate the political landscape of Kings Landing
@arjanrijvers5623 ай бұрын
There are a lot of layers to the words 'winter is coming'. Most other house words are boasts, but the starks have a melancholy warning instead. Its a reminder that hard times will be upon us, it is a memory of when the white walkers came during the long night and that they will return. But it also refers to the north and the Starks themselves, once the starks were kings of the north and their title was 'the king of winter'. It can even be used as a threat to their enemies, when the north marches to war they say winter js coming for their enemies.
