I consider myself lucky because I actually saw every Harry Potter movie in theaters, didn’t miss a single one. There was so much hype when Sorcerer’s Stone was out, everybody was going to see it, everybody was talking about it, everyone had the books reading them. I was 11 when the first movie came out, so I literally grew up with the characters. We will never see anything like Harry Potter again in our lifetimes.

I remember, we got to the pre premiere of Philosphers stone. (in germany, movies starts on thursday, but some cinemas showed it the day before) Back in the days, it was cool to be in cinema, but now, thinking about it. We have been among the very first people, who got to see this world. Today everyone on earth knows the image of Hogwarts castle. Back in 2001, everyone had their own imagination, until that wednesday, noone (exept the VFX team) knew how this world would look like. Beeing among the first who could enjoy it...feels strange.

Emma Watson was not spared the objectification and sexualization that is placed on actress even though she was literally a child. There was a literal timer online..set to her 18th birthday when she became "legal" I can't imagine the pressure she was under, truly and I'm so happy she continued. One thing that was not included was that a stunt double for Daniel was injured and paralyzed during these movies. There was a lot going on. On a different note..I really think you'll love the books, they are incredible!

Caleb, FYI, the actor that plays Dean Thomas is British-Brazilian! He was born in England and his dad is also British, but his mom is Brazilian. He visits Brazil very often and speaks fluent Portuguese! He's even been in a few Brazilian feature films. By the way, his character, Dean Thomas, was there from the first to the last movie. You might not remember him much because he didn't have a ton of lines, but he was always there with the Gryffindor gang from day one. He's also the one that dated Ginny for a while in Half Blood Prince (you see a scene of them kissing in the pub). lol

I was 19 when the first movie came out, 29 by DH part 2, and turned 40 when this anniversary reunion aired. Imagine the impact this had on the fans that saw every movie in theaters as they came out, re-read books and re-watched movies countless times in those 20 years, knows every line by heart, and followed the news about the actors lives and mourned their passings... it was quite something.

I was going to pop in and talk about being a single parent and what my children and I went through and lost dreams for my kids and lost dreams as an adult for me, but after some tears I realized that in the end what I wanted to say is that we all get a chance at a kind of hero's journey and a character arc with crazy circumstances and obstacles.. It has taken me decades but I think at last I can let go of the guilt and shame and grief and lost dreams and just be okay and let myself see the good things. Harry Potter has always helped me see that and if I ever have a hard time remembering, I can always watch it again. Recovering the wonder and magic has been a big part in healing and then thriving.

@@santiagopizanodelgado5231yeh Alfonso sometimes had to be reigned in because he is such a creative genius when it comes to his vision. Some of his ideas had to be toned down or rejected cos they didn’t really make sense for the world, but would’ve been awesome in terms of the visual vibe and theme he was going for. In relation to the cinematography and overall feel of the movie, I would have to rank it as one of the best. He is just incredible and gave the movie such a great vibe. It’s not just a great Harry Potter movie, it’s an amazing movie that works on its own since it’s one of the only movies that doesn’t really revolve around Voldemort other than a few contextual things.

Don't take any notice of the Critics. They only put down because of their own insecurities. You two are the most sincere couple I've seen in a long time on You Tube. I've been with you through Lord of The Rings, The Hobbit, and all the Harry Potter movies and never once have I doubted your sincerity and love for what you do. I love watching you guys. To be able to show those feelings is part of the healing process, so don't ever change. In fact JK Rollings had a difficult relationship with her father, which is why you see Harry with a number of positive male role models both in the books and the movies, so you are not alone in your feelings. The movies are a real reflection of life regardless of the magical side of things. From Jen from Australia.

Jason Isaacs who played Lucius got the part because he showed up at the meeting with casting crew with a scowl and talking through gritted teeth because he was disgruntled about not getting the part as Lockhart. They immediately told him that he was hired to play Lucius because the distianful attitude he showed was exactly what they were looking for. He was super worried after that how he was going to continue to recreate that personality. I think it's funny that he was so worried considering the fact that he played Colonel William Tavington of the Red Coats army in "The Patriot" just 2 years before this role was presented to him. That character has a very similar disposition.

No it is not Harry Potter. It is adult Wizards. Lots of reactor people will not touch the movies and make their own decisions. The Fantastic Beasts have their own charm and I have learned so much about Dumbledore in his younger years and the more lore I get the more I love this world. I can't stand how people will call reactor's reactions fake. Like, you have no way to prove this and even if it was true how does that matter? Obviously it isn't true because your reactions have been very authentic and as you said you guys say when you've seen something. But even if someone fakes a reaction, it honestly has no bearing at all on anything. The people enjoying that reaction still enjoy it. I see reactors from many channels mention comments where people claim they're faking the reaction. And I always find it ridiculous. Not to mention everyone has different personalities, ways in which they react, mannerisms, etc. So you can't look at someone in a video and claim to know enough about them to tell that their reaction is fake or not.
