This is vocally considered the hardest song to sing, vocal suicide. She has the hardest discography out of any discography, u could put her against ANYONEE in the studio and she obliterates them. This song doesnt just have the whistle notes, it goes rlly high into them up to an E7, displays incredible agility and control, but also the full song is basically belted in an E5 which is RLLY high if u dont know, for the full song to b belted like that, its vocally exhausting and then to add all the riffs, low notes, transitions, and whistle notes…. Insane.

Not to be that guy but she has around 5 and a half octaves, she can’t physically sing in the “0th” octave because no one can. Its not a part of human range. And if you do the math, 2nd octave to 7th octave is 5 octaves, singing in the seventh octave doesn’t mean someone has a 7 octave vocal range

@@lizapie I forgot she hit an F#8 trying to mimic dolphins cuz she was swimming with them, that was in 2019 I think, so she has exactly six octaves if it’s all connected. I love her lows too, I’m pretty sure she has gone lower than a D3 every tour during the 90s, and in many other performances. I feel like her lows in her album songs in the 2000s were the best, while the live lows were super unsupported and weak, but in the 2010s she gave us lots of 2nd octave lows which is not human I swear🥲

Btw the high thing she does with her voice is called “whistle register” not high falsetto lol. Its an entire different register, its WAYY higher than falsetto can go. And she can go higher than just abt ANY mainstream artist, the thing is tho she can also go rlly low, lower than most tenors which is most basic highest male type voice and she was a SOPRANO, which is the highest female type voice. Anyways for the crazy high notes and insane talent she was nicknamed “The Songbird Supreme”, its even on google when u search her name lol, her whistles sound like birds.

That's not falsetto, that's whistle register. It is different because there is connection between the fold, falsetto there's only partial connection that's why it sounds airy. In whistle the folds have a tiny opening where small bits of air are passing through so you need disgustingly perfect breath control, just like when we whistle with our mouths the opening is small. That's all we know about whistle because the opening is so small that we can't scope the larynx, we still lack the technology

But yea my recommendations then are -Vision of love live at oprah show 1992 -Vanishing live at SNL 1990 -Vision of love live at Tokyo Dome 1996 These r ok/good quality, theres tonssss of “vision of love” performances as u can see, with some of her best vocals because she always goes all out for the song yet always brings something different, its her first song in her career btw, and it went #1 for 4 weeks, way to make an entrance lol. I would recommend the studio music video version, but it just gets completely overshadowed by the live performances she has of it where she goes above and beyondd vocally, so i recommend reacting to the live performances i listed rather than the studio version lol.
