Hey guys just so you know, this video skips 2 missions in between when John wakes up at McFarlane’s ranch and when he drives Bonnie to Armadillo. Those 2 missions were kinda like tutorials to learn the controls and had a small bit of dialogue but nothing too interesting, however John has mentioned to Bonnie that he is married only you don’t hear it in this video, so John isn’t as much of a dirty dog as you might think😂

I cut them out. We watched it but they didn't add to the story so I skipped it for this video.

@@TNTGamingonline ah okay, got it! I think you guys might have missed that part then where John tells Bonnie that he’s married, i’m not too sure since it’s been a while since I last played the game but I’m almost certain that he tells her that very early on in the game.

@@Menno0183 he certainly tells her, but I forgot as to when as well. I was wondering if the developers intentionally delayed that reveal so you dont know exactly why John is doing what hes doing, and the backstory slowly comes together.

@@BakingBadOBX you got a good point there, however John also mentions to that old man Jake at the start of the game when they are riding to Fort Mercer that he is married, so while I agree with what you’re saying John never made a secret out of it that he was married, in fact so far (and also over the course of the game) you will notice that he is in fact pretty open about his marriage. It’s kinda funny, when I played the game for the first time years ago before rdr2 came out I forgot that John mentioned his wife and son at the beginning of the game, so I was doing those missions for Bonnie and was like “alright this girl could be a really good love interest for John!” And then the moment he mentions that he’s married my dreams were shattered 😂 Nah but John is a good man, he would never be unfaithful to Abigail, certainly not at this stage in his life.

Bonnie McFarlane is a real person, she’s a professional stand up comedian who’s married to another pro comic Rich Vos who worked for the Opie and Anthony radio show in NY. Because Rich worked with O&A and in that Lazlow (who has worked on almost all the GTA Rockstar games) named the character after her

Nope,Lazlow confirmed Dan Houser the main writer at Rockstar didn't know about the comedian when he named Bonnie Mcfarlane

Hey guys! As a huge fan of both games, I enjoyed watching yall's Red Dead Redemption 2 series, and I'm looking forward to this one. Now, there are two things I think yall should know. This knowledge will not spoil the story: - John isn't hiding his family from Bonnie, the writers are hiding them from the player. - Arthur is never mentioned or referenced. This is because he wasn't created until Red Dead Redemption 2 along with some other gang members. I will not specify which ones. That's all I can think of for now. I just didn't want yall to think that John is being dishonest or that everyone forgot Arthur. It's been MANY years since I've played but I'll do my best to help clear up any confusion going forward. Looking forward to going on this journey with yall!

I implore you to watch a version of the campaign that includes the side mission ‘I Know You’. Every RDR fan knows that John’s story isn’t complete without it.

The additional info on blackwater is obtained when you play the side missions and do your own research while playing rdr2 outside the main story

If you ever played or explore rdr2 map you can tell that town of armadillo is a ruined city that’s abandoned but in rdr 1 it’s more lively populated and bigger

Dont forgot that the only idea they went with of Bill's in RDR2 was when he gets Shaun shot right in the face from the braithewait and grey beef set up

it's interesting to see people get the story from this perspective. most of us started at this point, and knew nothing about bill, javier, dutch, the gang, etc. so the story at this point slowly builds pieces of backstory. But for someone who starts with the prequel, you dont get the same level of intensity. And, possibly, you may know too much. But its still a great story none-the-less. that being said, I really hope whoever does the gameplay for this series is better than the previous series. so far its starting out pretty amateurish, so I think this is the game players first play through. which kind of sucks. but, hopefully their learning curve is much quicker and they have better attention to detail.

The start of the game shows John being taken onto the train by Pinkerton agents, which you should recognize from RDR2, and he doesn't exactly look happy or free. Calling him a "bounty hunter" is not how I'd describe his role in this game.
