@@crayzeewhorse Unholy Alliance was the first show I ever went to, I was 12 and in the pits. Mastodon were good, I was a big Hatebreed fan at the time, but Slayer and Slipknot got me beaten black and blue in the pits. Mum made me wear a gum guard thing so I didn't lose any teeth aha, good thinking on her part. Been to hundreds of gigs since, even saw Slipknot headline Download in 2009, but few have beaten that first gig.

Yeah they changed the mix when they removed purity and frail limb nursery due to copyright and the rerelease has the song me inside replacing the removed songs

@@jlm10181978 Actually no that’s just the radio version because it is more pop oriented. They did that deliberately as well as what was used in movie soundtracks. I have both copies of Self Titled not the 10th anniversary re-issue but the original 2 one with and without Purity and both Wait and Bleed versions have the same mix which is not this version. This music video was shot in 1999 on Slipknot's first major US tour Ozzfest '99... I remember going to Ozzfest that year and it was just mayhem - an incredible experience... It was Black Sabbath headlining w/ Rob Zombie, Slayer, System of a Down, Static-X, Drain STH, Deftones, Primus, Godsmack, etc... In the middle of it, Slipknot comes on the side stage (which was smaller) in masks and coverall... 9 members, and they just let it rip 🤘🤘🔥🔥Their album wasn't even out at that point, and the crowd moshed to songs they had never heard before... It was clear that they were going to be huge. On Ozzfest '01, it was Black Sabbath w/ Slipknot just before them in 2001... and the whole place just went crazy w/ the first song "People=s@%&" 🤘🤘

I was 16 when slipknot dropped their self titled album. This song was the only single that was tame enough to get radio play. I love this song and it will always be my first introduction to Slipknot, but it's far from their best from the early days. I recommend eyeless, surfacing, liberate. All of Iowa

This was the song that got me into Slipknot. Should also check out some Mushroomhead. Older stuff, Kill Tomorrow or Sun Doesn't Rise. Newer stuff, We Are The Truth, The Heresy, Carry On or Qwerty. Look a lot like Slipknot but totally different sound. Love them

2001 big day off tour. I met Shawn, Corey, Paul and Jim. Corey said the worst part of that mask was the smell. He stuck it in my face and said “see what you think.” It smelled like ass so I developed a huge respect for them for doing several dozen shows and photoshoots all while having your face in an asscrack.
