Brother I love seeing that father-son duo out riding together. My dad got me riding, I used to sneak his Harley out of the garage when I was a teen, start it and pull it back into the garage. Eventually took it thru town and around the high school to look cool. Later he and I did a lot of riding together, day rides. The one big miss, is we never got to go take a road trip together over multiple days; he would have loved as much. Take lots of pictures out on the trail with your son. Two quick points on the vid: 1) I totally agree on two lane highways, riding towards oncoming traffic, I tend to stay more to my right always to give myself more room from oncoming traffic. 2) I always ride with my jacket or my cut zipped up, zipped slightly down works if I’m hot, but never fully unzipped. I don’t like it flapping under my arms, and God forbid I ever went down, I want that jacket or vest secure around me for as much protection as it can give. Love these moments. Cam’s gonna be ready to hit the road with you to Daytona or Sturgis before you know it!

Cam is fortunate to be able to ride with his dad. Great experience iam sure he will never forget. As far as the bike he probably is cold because he has no wind protection. He can do a windshield or what is hot right now is fxrt fairing or low rider st fairing from advan black ,ofcourse riser and lp6 light. Just something to think about.

Comfort is everything I tell people. Personally I love my mid controls and highway peg combo. I have endless foot positions for long rides. Saddlemen seat all the way! Love mine. Common sense always tells me to go with extra cooling. Ya just never know when you’ll be in that excessive heat situation. Durability increases greatly. Some extra power is mandatory though. Ride Ugly.

My first HD was a 2012 Sportster 1200 custom. I got it in 2021. It had 1906 miles on it. How is that possible? I traded it in on a 2014 Sportster Custom 1200. It only had 5k miles on it. If you look hard enough you can find really clean bikes. And Dad, you are tops. Nice job. Well done.

You should have him go to a rider safely course. Maybe even the two of you go. I have been riding for many years and took one a few years ago. There were a few things I learned and a few things that I forgot that I used to do but then got complacent. Plus you actually get a discount on your car insurance because it’s a driver safety course.
