Kim K convinced a lot of people that Taylor was a liar (witch). Taylor thought her career was over. She felt canceled. She hid for a year in a foreign country (we believe that was London). She wrote Reputation during that time. Taking the snake image that Kim K and others were using in response to her and turned it into a positive for herself. Taylor said “There will be no further explanation. There will just be reputation.” She is truly amazing and it’s so fun watching this type of history being made.

Just yesterday photos came from her Sweden Night 3 Eras Tour performance and all of the hairs on her arm are standing up. Yes, she is very moved by and involved with the crowd. It's her pure, true crowd engagement and her lyricism that more than compensate for the facts that she is neither a power vocalist or an amazing dancer. She is a wonderful singer, of course, but she's the first to admit that she is a songwriter who sings, not a singer who writes. Same with her dancing. She works 10x harder than anyone else on choreography and stamina so that she can entertain, but knows she is not a natural, powerful dancer. In her words, "I'm not the best dancer, but I'm having more fun than you!"

Crowd: It was filmed in AT&T Stadium in 2018; about 105K or so. Her tour was the first to sell out back to back concerts there; I wish the full film was still available, and not mashup clips of the film and fan footage or different venues spliced in; but it is what it is. fwiw, her first tour (Fearless)was in venues of less than 10K, and lasted a year and a half; her second (Speak Now) and third (Red) were in arenas and not so long, and 1989 was a mix with some arenas. Reputation was all stadiums, seating at least 50K; now she is doing multiple nights at all stops (drastically reduces the transit/setup costs for her, and very good for the cities she's in). Her tour film for the 1989 tour was Sydney, AU in a stadium with about the same seating as this one. Also, even on her first headline tour in 2009, she did one stadium: Gillette, outside Boston.

Great reaction. Did you see the intro to the Reputation Tour called Ready for It? That's my favorite. ❤❤❤
it seems like the reputation tour had a lot more people and whatnot was cuz this was her first all stadium tour. i'm glad i took a part of this tour, she was sold out for all 3 back to back nights at metlife stadium when i went, and it rained, and she still performed as if it was a regular night. watching the recorded concert is very different from experiencing it live. i was there for the concert and i compared it to the recording of it (which they had edited 2 different concerts together, if you noticed the outfit changes within the same song) its powerful watching the recorded concert, but its even more powerful watching it live... you feel the bass, the people, and the domino effect of all the people jumping around you. something that doesn't get recorded... the medleys she mashes up at every show, so every show is a bit different. she always does an acoustic mash up of her songs for every city she goes to perform at, she takes hints from her fans of what they want performed at her shows, and she has plenty of fans around the world.

Reputation Tour is Tay's SAVAGE come-back after a long pause in her career. She had some thinking to do, some tears to cry, and she had to allow herself to finally feel all that built-up rage and put it to music. She such a nice person that before this, she just didn't really allow herself to react, to feel, and then give it right back. Nice people suffer a LOT inside. All that trapped emotion hurricane will literally eat you up alive on the inside. It will make you sick. I am a nice person, so when my ex walked out, I had hidden my feelings for so long that I couldn't even find enough anger to hate him for what he did. I couldn't express it. Then, I got eczema & diabetes from all that stress. Ended up at hospital thinking I'd had a heart attack. Taylor is battling her anger with her best weapon now: her songwriting and performance onstage. You can feel her power now that she's found it. That's what you're witnessing. ❤

Actual audience at AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas where this was filmed was 52,501 per night. Average attendance at Rep over the 53 dates worldwide was 54,507. The Eras tour on the other hand, has been played in MUCH larger stadia, (some have been the same mind) however the attendance certainly the Americas has been estimated at 72,500 on average. At the MCG in Melbourne in Frebruary 2024 she pushed that up to 96,000 per night her highest ever. Some of the Stadia in Europe have capacity in excess of 90,000 however the large stage will no doubt cut into those figures. EDIT Typo on MCG figure, so amended as per @kerrynriley8165 post below.
@robertthompson72426 ай бұрын
According to Billboard's Current Boxscore numbers there were 105, 002 EACH NIGHT in Arlington; tour dates and ticket sales are listed here, sources are in footnotes. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reputation_Stadium_Tour. The average numbers are probably right though. I thought it was lower; apparently they expanded to their full capacity.
@kerrynriley81656 ай бұрын
@clansome we actually had 96,000 each night in Melbourne plus thousands more outside the venue. If it wasn't for the big Eras Tour stage taking up so much room, Taylor would have had much larger crowds like Ed Sheeran did the year before with 109,500. The MCG is a massive stadium. 😃

@@robertthompson7242 52,501 x2 = 105, 002. The figure on Wikipedia is for BOTH nights in total. They are showing the tickets available and tickets sold figure. Ironically the Eras Tour she pushed that up to 210,607 over 3 nights (or 70,302 per night). Can only assume that higher attendance is due to the use of side screens and more efficient use of the stage despite it being much larger. Source en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AT%26T_Stadium#Major_events Then scroll down to Concerts. btw Max capacity of AT&T is 80,000.

More people at Eras tour because it's a bigger, longer tour. She packs stadiums from 70-90k people, three to eight nights in each city. Sold out. This was her Rep album, but Era's is ALL of top songs from every album. She has generated more money than she's made on this tour - she became a billionaire, and she has created billions in revenue for the towns and cities she's touring in - not to mention KC. Go Chiefs!

I think the pan out after "if a man talk ish then i owe him nothing". It's largely theorized that at least the first verse of this song is directed at Kanye after he released his song "Famous" in which he wrote the line "I think me and Taylor might still have s*x. Why? I made that b***h famous". At his next show he had the crowd chanting "f**k Taylor Swift!" after that line. So, in my head, the pan out to the crowd is to show how pathetic it is for him to blatantly disrespect her along with his like 10k audience, meanwhile she gracefully claps black with her 70k fans screaming with her "if a man talks s**t then I owe him nothing." (The original lyric Kanye said was that "Taylor might OWE him s*x" btw)
