We have Tuna Asam Manis which is tuna deep fried covering with flour and then cooked with pineapple and sauce. Very delicious. Tuna can change with chicken or beef.

a lot of people thinks that pineapple in savory dishes is disgusting or weird. well i can't blame them, i feel the same with avocado in a toast or savory dishes. That happened because of habits and culture i guess. But now that i overcome those, i sometimes enjoyed myself eating avocado toast for breakfast. Here in indonesia you'll most likely find pineapple in savory dishes (like ikan/ayam asam manis) and the avocado in desserts. just give it a try, you'll never know right 😋

Coco, if you try Indonesian or Asian food, they are rich in flavour. Savory, spicy, sour, sweet, salty... That's how Asians enjoy food. Putting pineapple in a burger or having it as a topping on pizza is a fusion of Western and Eastern culinary cultures.

my advice is to try and find Indonesian regional specialties in Bali, for example Sop Konro , Coto Makasar , Rujak Cingur, Cwie Mie Malang , Pempek Palembang etc.😁

To be honest, put in pineapple on burger it's not bad at all. But, you'll get trouble when you put in pineapple on the pizza's surface. Most Italian doesn't love it 😅

I thought i'd hate pineapples on my burger, until i had a burger with pineapple at Carl's Jr. I didnt even realize it had pineapple, so i just ate it. When it got in my mouth at first I was like "eww, why is there pineapple?" But it turned out to be delicious and i really liked it. LOL

Are you serious? Pineapple has been put in burgers for decades ... ergo Hawaiin burger or Tropical burger. Not common but okay when you're in the mood for it. I prefer no pineapple and the classic American style taste. :)

Hey Coco.. please review ikan bakar kedonganan.. it's around Jimbaran beach you can find a fresh fish market.. you buy fish first in the market there so many variants of fishes you can find anything you want like octopus, oyster, shrimp, squid, snapper and so on... then bring the fish you have bought to a restaurant around and order the host to grill it.. you will like it alot it delicious.. fyi, there are so many "bule" like you enjoying time there as well as local you will enjoy it especially while buying the fishes it is the experience that you will barely find in any oher places..

That's pineapple. Sakura (cherry blossom) is the color of the buns. When you put pineapple on any burger it becomes either a "tropical" burger or "Hawaiin" burger.
