Thanks! OMG this makes my heart so warm...🥰😍 I am from Indore and live in Texas now. There have been times I couldn't visit Indore for years and I craved the food so bad. Thank you for making me feel this way, I wish I could be your food guide in Indore and help you with the language barrier.... FYI Indore has the best vegetarian food ever and street food to be specific. Period... I would say its a vegetarians' paradise.. Not your typical tikka masala, butter chicken, or panner saag from American Indian restaurants, but way more diverse options than those..... 🤪Now I don't know if you would be exploring more places, but I really doubt if other places are gonna live up to this comparison hahaha.. Best Wishes to you Man!!

Poha is one of the fav snacks in India. You can eat it in any time whether in breakfast or in lunch or in dinner. I wonder how many varieties of foods India have. And in sweets I can say that , rosogolla is the creamy layer of India, gulab jamun is the dna of bharat and khir malay or ros malay is the heartbeat of hindustan. I love you hindustan, meri jaan 🇮🇳.

16:29 You are correct, Technically there is NO difference in between Rasgulla and Rasmalai, Both are made with "Chenna" skimmed milk with its milk solids separated, in Rasmalai the Chenna is much more purer than Rasgulla, hence Rasmalai is softer then rasgulla, and then Rasmalai is dipped in a Sweet Saffron Milk, and Rasgulla is dipped in Hot Suger syrup with some whole indian spices in it.

I have been visiting it since 1988 . But the shop was opened around same time .The location is near Geeta Bhavan [a temple complex] Now i am watching it from far far away :) Poha is staple for iNDORE. Never argue with Indori on Poha. Indori Poha is DIFFERENT. PERIOD. NO DISCUSSION..But the one which you ate with chola on top is not the common one Indori eat or available at every stalls. The version witthou chola on top but Sev+ pomegrate on top is more famous During my college days, we would go to such stalls and have Poha + chai If we were adventurous, we would have Poha + Jalebi from nearby shop as breakfast and then chai Almost all shops now have apporx same flavor /taste for Poha and Jalebi as they have to cater to Indorians to same taste who will never forgive for sub standard taste.

Great video! Well, I am from Bengal so I think I can answer that question on Rasgulla. So, Rasgulla is basically a ball of cottage cheese (paneer or Chana) which is directly boiled in a very thin sugar syrup. So it's just paneer and sugar syrup, nothing else
@Musically_Arpita Жыл бұрын
It is a bit different from Ras Malai as Ras Malai is also a ball of paneer but it is boiled inside the Malai, Malai means flavoured and thickened milk. While flavouring the milk people usually add Kesar, Pista, and other dry fruits
@Musically_Arpita Жыл бұрын
Both can be served both hot and cold, depending on when they are actually made. If you go early in the morning when they are just opening up, you might get the fresh one which is just out of oven, that is why it might feel a bit warm

That place, the Rasgulla House, is considered to provide the best and softest rasgullas in Indore city. They also provide Rajbhog, which is a bigger version of rasgulla, but bigger, and has saffron, grated pistachio, and resins in the centre. The colour of rajbhog is lemon yellow.
