First time using a bucket truck

Please don't attempt to use harbor freight rope for your rigging line..

Bucket trucks are so awesome! Have you had the privilege of self rescue yet? If not its a good idea to practice safely going down a rope say 10 feet off the ground from the bucket to start with. I think linemen have to do it ever so often and use a single line rope with some expensive lowering device. I'm just going to try a dual rope with a blakes hitch when we get the bucket back up and running.

Ya mark I was initially in agreement with tree veteran on the several cuts, I was thinking of the poor groundie 😅. But I see your rational here. Keep up the good vids man

There all different. I've gotten in my buddy's and struggled hydraulic was different and stuck alot.and others I've used are easy .and if it's extended all way out it's harder.

Bucket or not .just drop those entire,limbs one or 2 Cutts. No need doing all that playing around.

I could have gotten most of it down in about 4 cuts but this was for family and I was going to have to cut it up for firewood either way, just decided to do most of it in the air standing up instead of bent over on the ground lol

We have a 90ft and 60ft aerial lift love using them way better than a bucket truck
