Watch out... Cooking with alcohol stove can become a addiction. I am glad that you and your son are out camping, it is a great way to spend time together.

Couple of tips: Dip a twig in fuel, light with Bic & then light the stove(s). Cover pots with something to get faster boil. Foil, metal dinner plate, etc. Windscreen slightly larger than stove to direct/keep heat under pot. Making memories with your son. Priceless!

Great job Jake my first time using them was very similar.lol I forgot to mention that wind screens are very important on these types of stoves. 1oz of fuel should boil 16oz of water in under 8 min.Just dont fill above the jets(holes) in the stove. But I'm with Rooster That fire looked awesome! LOL I have boiled gallons of water out of sheer bordem...practice makes perfect. The fancy Feast stove is the one Andrew Skurka used on his expeditions. Its pretty good once you get the hang of it! Later!

Sometimes our gear testing just doesn't work out the way we want it to. I use the Pepsi alcohol stove from time to time and I love it. My first time testing it out on my porch sucked though, no lid, no windscreen and I used a makeup fluid alcohol. I prefer the HEET myself. Good video anyway mt
