Two pieces of advice when hauling pipe, 1. Use carpet or rubber in between the pipe and the stakes. 2. Take a chain and wrap it around the bottom of each stake with a binder in the middle pulling the stakes towards one another.

That’s what i was taught too. It was weird at first chain strapping the bottom but it made so much sense.

When I pay him $$$ per upload. Then I will feel I have half a right to complain. Good on you not taking loads that don’t pay basic costs. Glad you got something for waiting. It’s all over the place notifications. You can call before 5 pm night before, given a time. Call hour before time “I am 15 minutes out” and you get told to park somewhere else for 5 hours after the time they set. (So you wonder “IF I just showed up on time. Would they have unloaded to get the yard clear?”) I am parked till next year.

@@cortezbush9000 not very practical. I got call this AM to fly out to CO and drive a truck back. (They had the motor rebuilt/replaced) if I can combine with visiting family. That I will do cheaper. No ELD so short trip as no sleeper.

Nope. Not worth it. While I might have suggested it last year. Your dad could have studied a bit, taken written, driven a bit with you instructing, taken road test…. Time, cost minimal. Then he could drive 3+ hours a day under good conditions on good roads to help you make time. To get you to locations just a hour beyond your hours. Full team driving is tiring. But being able to start at 7am when you are awake, instead of sitting till 11am legal start time. That would have value. Hope things are going well. Just a 5 minute hello would be nice.
