heres the quick version. jet engine is anomaly and shouldnt exist. seperate universe is created by god and donnie is chosen as the one to create the a scenerio where the engine could exist. the tangent universe bends in his favor to help him achieve this. every little thing that happens happens in a way so that donnie could send the jet engine through a wormhole thus saving the real universe and everyone he loves. he wakes up and starts laughing because he thinks it was a dream like everybody else. sadly donnie dies because of this but also is able to conquer his biggest fear. which was reminded to him by grandma death. every living creature on earth dies alone. its a super hero movie.

there are also time loop theorys because donnie is laughing at the beggening and end of the movie. but i dont agree because it really takes away from sense of danger if its a loop

unfortunately there are too many mistakes, if they weren't i would've rated this film a 10/10, i gave it a 9/10,
