It's always nice to see a new viewer that gets OP1. A lot of anime-onlys don't realize this, but the Jojo manga started in the 80's and we didn't even begin to get a proper anime adaptation until 2012. So finally seeing that opening was emotional af for many longtime Jojo fans, and the drop represents that feeling almost perfectly.

For example, if a character punches another, the word "PUNCH" would be written in Japanese dramatically. These kind of letters are ussually left behind when the anime adaptation, well... adapts, the manga into an anime, but the JoJo anime decided to keep them as it would help the dramatism and energy of some scenes. The most famous JoJo letters are the ones that mean *"menacing"*

I'm really glad that so many people are starting to get to know JoJo now, and I'm glad the great openings are helping. I will try to briefly explain the essence of JoJo without spoilers. Each part tells about a member of the Joestar family. Each part changes the main character and he is a member of this family. Because of that character designs are quite different. That's what drew me to Jojo. JoJo talks about the story of a family that finds themselves on an BIZARRE ADVENTURE.

I Hope you decide to give the series a try, it starts out a bit slow in part 1, but part 2 (which starts at episode 10) is insane and after that the series just keeps evolving into new entertaining ways, I've been a fan since I read the manga in 2010 and the anime is a very faithful adaptation of it, it does still cut some stuff but nothing too critical, it's still ongoing with the manga starting part 9 soon, and the anime is midway into adapting part 6

You have correctly pointed out every reoccurring character on first watch and realized the similarity between the antagonist from 1,3&4 and the protagonist from 8&9. The fact that so many non watchers are able to recognize certain recurring characters is a testament to just how well they've been designed and adapted, even their silhouette and shape language are supposed to be recognizable. Everyone mistaking Caesar and Joseph for Dio and Jonathan is just a flaw in those earlier designs before Araki really made his own visual language, and the story and design elements still had those generic fist of the North Star influences.

For opening 4, both versions have the same visuals and music except for the end of the second version. For opening 5, both versions have different music, with the second one having slightly different visuals besides color.

The first one is by far my most favorite, most remembered, also the first ending. Although I'd give season 3 (Jotaro arc) the best in term of story, character's bonding. Anyway, it's funny to see how confusing it is from the hamon part to the stand part.

Just to let you know, the blonde guy’s name is dio brando, he is the main villan of jojo, and the blonde guy in the 2nd opening is ceaser zeppeli, the Ally of joseph joestar (part 2 protagonist), and you can get stands by stabbing yourself with a stand arrow ,and stands are a physical representation of its user’s psychology, or you either need to be born with one, and the reason stands didn’t appear in parts 1 through 2 is because back then instead of stands people used something called “hamon”, hamon is a martial art that uses the power of the sun itself, and the thing that happened in the 4th op is dio stopping time, and “jojo” is a nickname given to every single main character
