And if you wanna see Keanu Reeves playing guitar in another overlooked movie, you should check out "Permanent Record". Johnny Mnemonic (1995) is another solid Keanu Reeves movie and a personal favorite of mine. Also, Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey (1991) is a rare case of the sequel being better than the original, and I believe the reason those characters stayed relevant for so long.

Fyi Gary Busey was already in a great surfer movie you should see called Big Wednesday. The singer of Red Hot Chilli Pepper plays a small role in this movie. He is the guy who shot his own leg. Point Break was also Tony Stark nickname to Thor :) because of Patrick Swayze blonde hair. The remake suck don't watch it. Another early fun underrated Keanu Reeves movie is The Night Before you should see it.

I agree with all the other classic Patrick Swayze recommendations in the other comments, but I didn't see anyone mention Donnie Darko. It's a twisty mind bender of a movie with a great cast and Patrick Swayze plays way against type in an underrated performance. Also the first movie where I liked Jake Gyllenhaal (Bubble Boy gave me a very bad impression of him and I thought he was going to be a total loser). Also a lot of great Keanu recommendations, but one that often goes overlooked is A Scanner Darkly, yet another mind bender of a movie (I really like movies that make you think) that kind of flew under the radar, probably because it was animated (rotoscoped, so the actors actually performed the scenes and then they animated over them). Speaking of rotoscoped movies, Waking Life is yet *another* mind bender... 😆
