It's good to keep in mind that Anakin is just _built different._ He can feel it when Padme is conflicted, when she says one thing and feels another; he can intuitively find what route will lead him to his objective and he doesn't have to try very hard. His pride comes in major part from the fact that he is _objectively_ good at whatever he sets his mind to. It explains why he's confused and upset as to why the Council doesn't seem to trust him, or when people second-guess or correct him. Not that he doesn't need correction, it's just rare enough that it cuts deep. Without spoilers, it's part of why Anakin's eventual fall is so tragic. He doesn't really seek power over others, or fame, he just becomes scared and desperate.

In the Star wars universe, a Jedi's lightsaber color signifies their alignment with the force, blue is a "Jedi guardian" which means that you prefer to use your lightsaber skills to physically protect the innocent and focus more on the warrior aspect of a Jedi, green is a "Jedi counselor" which means that you focus heavily on the pursuit of wisdom and knowledge of the force, red means you are part of the dark side no exceptions, purple means you dabble between the light and dark side of the force without fully committing to either. There used to be a lot more lightsaber colors back in the early days of the Jedi, but as the Jedi order became more dogmatic in their practice, blue and green basically became the only two lightsaber colors they are able to achieve with very few exceptions.

Sifo-Dyas was a friend of Count Dooku and he share his ideas with Dooku, including that The Republic should have an army. He commissioned Lama Su to create a Clone Army around the events of The Phantom Menace. Dooku found about it, told Darth Sidious, who had meeting with him in secret. He ordered to kill Sifo-Dyas and to take over the planning for the army, including fixing a donor for the clones, so he all those thing,s including recruiting Jango Fett at one of the Bogden's moons (which by the way is told in the Legends Canon way through the video game Star Wars: Bounty Hunter for Gamecube and PlayStation 2). So Sifo-Dyas did order for a Clone Army without discussing it to The Jedi Council, hence why nobody found about it. After Dooku killed Sifo-Dyas, he erased Kamino from the Jedi Archives (which is referenced in the mini-series The Tales of the Jedi, which is on Disney+, with mini stories telling of what happens before, during, in-between and shortly after The Prequel Trilogy, including Dooku's time as Qui-Gon's master).

The song during the Clones embarking on the ships is the "Imperial March" but is also known as "Vader's Theme". They're using it here as the Imperial March because it's the first true signs of the Empire starting to stake shape within the Republic.
@passionsquietrageАй бұрын
You're partially correct, the clone army became the Empire's first Stormtroopers. However, the ones we see in the Original Trilogy aren't the clones. They were regular dudes that were either forced into it or joined willingly.
@WJS774Ай бұрын
Clones are great if you want to build an army in secret. You can't have a large-scale recruitment campaign across the galaxy without anybody knowing about it. It's just not possible. They are _far_ more expensive than just putting up posters that say "Your Empire needs you! Find out more at your local Stormtrooper recruitment office" though. You have to pay for _everything_ for the first ten years of their life, while recruits are raised by their parents. The clones are better soldiers than the Stormtroopers though, since they have literally trained for it their entire lives. Not that Stormtroopers are _bad_ soldiers of course, that's just a meme.

There's a bunch of lore behind the lightsaber colors. Jedi basically attune their Force powers to a special crystal inside their lightsaber handle, and this process causes the normally clear crystal to change color. Blue and green are the most common colors because those colors represent the two major ways a Jedi typically approach their connection to The Force. Mace Windu's lightsaber is purple because his connection to The Force is a bit different to the rest of the Jedi, but it's actually because Sam Jackson wanted a unique color so he'd stand out in the big lightsaber battles.

In regards to the color of the sabers, its a really funny story. When Samuel L Jackson met George Lucas on set, George told him: So the good guys use green and blue, bad guys use red, which one do you want? And SLJ said "Is there any chance mine can be purple?" (It's his favorite color) And Goerge said: "....seriously?... I'll see what I can do" And tus it was born the idea of multiple colors besides the 3 basic ones LOL. Nowadays there is even lore for the different colors, like blue is mostly used for those skilled in fencing/swordfighting, so more physically inclined, while green is prefered by those who are more spiritual if you will (Like Quigon and Yoda, like the wise ones, same Luke he went from a blue to Green). Purple is for those who have a bit of an inclination to the darkside but are not swayed by it, staying in balance between light and dark. There are videos on yt expalining each color if you ever interested, they are fun (there are even tests to see what color of saber you'd get, kinda like the houses in Harry Potter LOL). Ps. I'm AMAZED you noticed the continuity error of her shirt turning into a perfectly cut croptop after the clawing from the beast x'D

Anakin losing his arm, was a shadowing of Luke losing his hand in Episode 5 (the second of the original) The clones are not the stormtroopers, the clones will be replaced by the stormtroopers. I can see why Anakin turns into Vader now. He had lost his mother to the sand people and slaughtered them all out of pure rage and justifiably so. He had visions of losing Padmé in childbirth and the fact he felt ‘excluded’ from the Jedi council (quoted from revenge of the sith) were all things that Darth Sidious picked up on and used them to his advantage in order to manipulate Anakin and turn him to the dark side, thereby betraying his former comrades. So all along there was a recipe for disaster in the making, you have an evil Sith Lord with very advanced dark force abilities at his disposal with 2 of them being force clouding and master manipulation. Force clouding was used to disguise his true Sith identity, effectively hiding in plain sight. The other was master manipulation and that speaks for itself. He needed a new apprentice after the death of Count Dooku and he selected Anakin not only because of his hatred (which was a big advantage to Sidious). But also the fact that he was close to Sidious.

Be sure to be pregnant when reviewing Episode 3. In Return of the Jedi Luke's artificial hand is damaged so he wears a glove. In the final fight between Luke and Vader, Luke becomes enraged which gives him strength to beat down Vader and defeat him, cutting off Vader's hand. It is then revealed it was an artificial hand, just like Luke. With that Luke understands his father and his mistake, and how is making the same mistake. Luke is filled with love for his father with all of his flaws, and that breaks his anger. Then Luke and Vader together defeat the Emperor.

Count Dooku had the chance to cut any limb of Obi Wan but he "only" hurted him. That´s because Obi Wan was Qui Gon Jinn´s apprentice; like Qui Gonn was his own apprentice once. Dooku, although he turned to the dark side, loved a lot Qui Gonn and, thinking about him, he didn´t want to hurt more than necessary at Qui Gonn´s apprentice. And only attacked him again to provoke the Anakin jump to block him (anticipation).

On the subject of space fantasy, Rodney’s form in this reminds me of those spear guns the Custodes in Warhammer 40k use.

Great reaction, and you have a good grasp of the story. One more left (episode 3), the best of all, in my opinion, and as the title suggests, the darkest of them all. Keep yourself some tissues, if you're sensitive. You're right, Boba Fett is the bounty hunter that brings Han Solo to Jabba in the OT. If you noticed details, you'll see that he kept his dad's spaceship (compare both ships in episode 2 & episode 5) & have a similar armor. In the next episode (3), you close the circle and the last remaining questions that you have will be answered there (who is the Emperor), how & why Vader got his suit & mask. Everything will happen in this episode. My favorite because it's the link between prequels and original trilogy. Have a nice day, and see you next time.

Boba, the small kid, unaltered clon and son of Jango Fett, it´s Boba Fett, the bounty hunter from eps V and VI.

1:11 the reason that there's only one Jedi with a purple lightsaber and everybody else is red and green is because Samuel l Jackson ask George Lucas if he could have purple. No other reason. Samuel l Jackson's favorite color is purple, he wanted a purple lightsaber and George Lucas said "You might get purple".

Before getting married, R2D2 was Padme's droid while C3PO was Annakin's (he built him). You will notice that moving forward, this is switched because they were the only 2 able to witness the wedding to keep it a secret. Ani and Padme switch driods instead of trading wedding rings as it would be too obvious.

Count Dooku is also a Sith Lord (Darth Tyranus) and is helping his master take over the galaxy. He was trying to manipulate Obi-Wan into betraying the Jedi and siding with him. He is also betraying the Separatists (the side he leads in the war).

time code: 1:02:15 "nah bro. you don't know yoda, like that." answer: greetings natascha, darth tryannus used to be yoda's personal apprentice, whom he trained to be a jedi knight. it was in the novels before the disney take-over.

It still is canon, as Yoda refers to him as 'my old padawan' in this very movie.

The only indication you get from the original trilogy (IV V and VI) that Darth Vader has mechanical appendages is when, in Return of the Jedi, Luke cuts his dad's hand off and you see some wire stuff - Luke looks at his own hand and realizes he's more like his father than he realized. That's when he turns back to the Emporer, tosses his lightsaber away, and says he is a jedi like his father before him. So him losing his arm in this film is the "answer" to "how" for Luke's discovery. :) BTW - glad you liked the movie!

Obi-Wan: "Oh look. a flying assassin droid. Oh well, yolo. YEET!" Putin: "I must learn the secrets of this Jedi mind trick." lol Now you'll want to start watching the Clone Wars animated movie/show. It covers everything between this movie and the next movie and it will blow you away when you see little snips get that nickname lol. There is a difference between clone troopers and storm troopers. I think that Luke was about 19 in Episode 4, so this movie took place a little more then 20 years before A New Hope.
@davidbergfors6820Ай бұрын
The Clone Wars lasted between 3 and 5 years, depending on sources, and considering the events of the end of next movie (avoiding spoilers for our dear Natascha) the timeline make it 25 years from this movie to Episode 4
