Fun fact about the coffee part of Gi-hun running away. The actress who is playing Sae-byeok was actually laughing so hard because Gi-hun missed to put the straw in, him missing it like 3 times was not in the script XD. But they kept it in because luckily her hair was covering most of her face when she was laughing. And the bathroom scene, i think the guy actually hit Gi-hun in the face, which genuinely hurt too

So I recently watched a "Behind the Scenes"-video of Sqiud Game S1 and there was a lot of CGI that I had not thought of! Not just polishing shadows and colours but, a lot. For example the piggybank is completely CGI. They tried to make a real one but it had too many reflections and other issues so theyw ent full CGI. Also the room they played "Red Light, Green light" was full greenscrean along the walls and it was recorded outside in the middle of a city instead of some soundstage. The director had not decided what he wanted the painting of the walls to look like so they just green-screened every wall and added it in post.

I think I watched one or two episodes of this show before I had to stop. Not because it wasn’t good but because it’s just so brutal and heavy and I knew it was just going to get harder for me to watch. Watching people play these lethal games is one thing but also watching all those characters’ backstories and seeing how rough they had it before is just ughhh… but it’s necessary to see to show just how desperate those people are to put themselves in that situation
