The worst thing is suspecting that your place might be haunted, but not being sure. My girlfriend's apartment had some weird stuff going on in it and just the idea made showers and sex a little awkward. Once you get that thought in your head you always feel like you're being watched when you're at your most vulnerable. I don't even think ghosts exist, but the thought alone is enough to evoke that feeling.

This movie is without a doubt, the most rare hidden gems ever. I never knew about this movie until one day. I heard all about this movie from this one KZbinr, who was hyping the shit out of it and making it seem like it’s this really awesome well written original story. And he was right this movie has what Hollywood is lacking, originality and creativity. This movie is one of the most hilarious and most wholesome horror comedies ever. I think this movie may be a little bit better than Shaun of the dead. I mean, you can’t go wrong with the two main characters Tucker and Dale you really buy their friendship and they have a lot of chemistry together and they’re these two lovable knuckleheads. And I love the idea of the college students actually being in the villains especially Chad. I like the idea of flipping the script of the two characters that you would suspect are the bad guys but they’re actually good guys and the college students are actually the bad guys. They’re portrayed as these ignorant dumb preppy college students I’m not generalizing, but that’s what college students tend to be sometimes. I’m glad this movie is now getting recognized as a cult classic because when this movie came out, nobody cared about it. It was a directed DVD movie so it took a while for it to gain some recognition.

Tucker & Dale is such a gem of a movie. It's not great art or anything, but it knows what it is and what it wants to accomplish, and it leans into it heavily and unashamedly. And it has so much heart. Alan Tudyk is always great, but for me the true stars of this movie are Tyler Labine as Dale and Jesse Moss as Chad. Tyler Labine's portrayal of Dale is just so wholesome and heartwarming that you can't help but want to just hug him. And Jesse Moss plays Chad to perfection. It's easy to overlook actors in villainous roles for the simple reason that we usually don't like them very much, but that's the whole point: we are not _supposed_ to like them, and Jesse Moss does the job and then some. He really manages to reach into the audience's mind and make us think "Man, I really want this guy to die", which is a testament to his skill as an actor.

Horror comedy is the best genre of horror. This movie plays off the common trope that many characters in horror movies kind of walk right into their own demise, not as literally as in this movie though. Another great horror comedy is Cabin in the Woods, but it is a lot darker and more gory. Interestingly, it was cowritten by Whedon and thus features some actors who've been in other works of his.

Love this film so much and it makes a great double-feature with "The Cabin in the Woods" with Chris Hemsworth, which I love even more. TCitW is another take on the, well, cabin in the woods trope and absolutely hilarious, while still having some genuine horror moments appropriate for that type of film. Also, there was a Tucker & Dale reunion, of sorts, when Alan Tudyk and Tyler Labine were both in the 2nd season of the series "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency" with Elijah Wood, and they were great in it. Alan played a rare role as a bad guy and he was really menacing, but still had nice comic moments. Great reaction Addie, as always!

Great reaction Addie like always. This is one of my favorite comedy horrors ever. I find it particularly sweet that Dale doesn't like fishing but goes with Tucker anyway cause Tucker likes it so much. He's just a great friend. The wood chipper scene gets me everytime, I can't help laughing my butt off. Tucker and Dale, Cabin in the Woods, and Shaun of the Dead are the holy triumvirate of horror comedies in my book. I had a hard time leaving out American Werewolf in London, but I feel that leans very heavily towards horror and not so much comedy. Literally anything with Alan Tudyk is a guaranteed good time. There are some fun-facts about it. In the original cut of the movie tucker actually does die, but test audiences hated it so they changed it to him living and There is a special version on the Blu-Ray. They edit out all of the stuff that shows us that Dale and Tucker are innocent and the movie plays like a slasher film and is kind of scary. They call it "Dale and Tucker ARE Evil." Keep up the good work.

Considering they heard a scary story about killer hillbiliies, while under the influence of drugs and alcohol, leading to the first misinterpretation.
