There are actually quite a lot of reactions like that. Most of them still poke fun at particular moments, or acknowledge some of the rather toxic/problematic traits and romantic ideals, but ultimately still let themselves enjoy and get immersed in the story. I'll admit, though, this reaction is probably the most "all in" one I've seen.

In the beginning, when Edward was staring at her all creepy, she was the first person who’s mind he could not read. It made him nervous because that is how he kept tabs on the general public to see who suspected they were vamps. When they say Jasper is the newest vegetarian, they mean he used to feed on humans and recently turned to this new life of only feeding on animals.

I'm so happy you got there with an open mind not trolling it for the sake of it and ended up actually seeing why some of us actually do like it despite the bit of cringe here and there! And based on what you said and how you saw it I totally believe you're gonna LOVE the books! They tell so much more and all of your observations and questions are discussed there and MORE romance! I still can’t believe I wasn’t a twilight girly when I was younger 😭 I can’t wait to read the books they’re going on the top of my TBR for next year!! I think I stayed away from the books because of how thick they are LOL but after watching these films and hearing how much everyone in the comments love the books I know I can’t pass up the chance to read them. Jasper is the newest vegetarian, NOT a new vampire. Most vampires kill people to feed. The Cullens (and the Denalis; you will meet them later on in the series) are special because they're the only ones who feed on animals.

I mean, it wasn't really a simpler time, it's just that the complexities weren't as on display to the whole world. There was a lot of really problematic stuff going on, same as today, it's just that you weren't aware of it unless it directly impacted you. So, really, it wasn't a simpler time, it just felt like a simpler time if you were lucky enough.

Omg when I tell you I was obsessed with the hunger games when I was in what 7th grade, me and my best friend at the time DIY’d green and orange tshirts representing Peeta and Katniss when we watched one of the movies in theaters 😂 ugh I wish I still had the pics 😭 and I also fell in love with the books- I have their latest book but haven’t gotten around to reading it bc I want to reread the series from the beginning. Bella: queen of the wet blankets. I only watch these twilight reaction videos because of how bad the movies are. It’s craaaaaaazy that the books and movies were so popular in mainstream culture. I think it’s a clear indicator that young women and girls are really responsible for most trends and what gets marketed in mainstream culture in some aspects. Call Her Daddy and Taylor Swift for example being catapulted by that one demographic. It gets to a certain level of popularity where you have to do damage control to put things in perspective for people. Otherwise we’d all become pod people. Twilight was never good. Probably worse than half of the hallmark movies. Call Her Daddy is only popular because of how attractive the host is, not because she is funny, engaging, or asks great questions. And she is massively popular because of herd mentality. Taylor Swift on the other hand at least has talent, but her popularity has risen so much that it has to be commented on that she is always making calculated business moves which go against her image, which people buy into hook, like, sinker. And her music who very shallow in its sound. There are so many talented musicians yet this basic white girl who grew up rich is the most artistic and has the most interesting things to say? I doubt it. It’s just another case of the same demographic I mentioned before almost forming a cult like fandom and making the mainstream media pay attention. There are some other issues dealing with sex appeal being involved and how that makes a certain demo hold the influence. But that’s too much to put here. Appreciate your vids by the way, just had to give my two cents because why some of the least interesting things become hugely popular makes me feel like I’m in the twilight zone. And it comes down to two things. Sex appeal or playing into women’s emotional core where they buy into what the artist is saying. But when further inspection you can see that what the artist is saying repeatedly almost starts to sound like a broken record, especially if they are pointing themselves as a victim all the time.

Well you may not be interested but I’ve had people request rewatches. And there are movies that I’ve seen when I was a child and haven’t seen since so it’s a nice refresher to watch again. Also with Twilight, I may have watched the first movie when I was younger but I never watched the other movies bc I wasn’t into Twilight as everyone else haha
