@@LialaNaema I don't know if you two know, but there is a little side film that is part of this movie called Burn-E. It's the little robot that got locked out when Eve got her and Wall-E back inside after the space dance. It's a very fun watch.
@mevb10 ай бұрын
WALL-E (and M-O and the most of the male robots) is voiced by Ben Burtt, the legendary sound effect guy who made the sound effects for the six first Star Wars movies (plus the three first Indiana Jones movies), the creator of iconic sound effects such as the blasters, the landspeeder, R2D2's noises, Darth Vader's breathing, the lightsabers, the TIE Fighters' engines, the AT-AT movements and so on. He also did the sound effects for this movie and unlike otherPixar movies when sound effects are recorded and mixed in post-production, it was started early on as the movie was more dependant on the sounds as it relied less on dialouge than in a typical movie, to harken back to the silent films with Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton (whose Andrew Stanton and co watched for inspiration).

😎👍 If it's of interest, the movie playing on the television at 3:45, 11:53 and 22:31 is "Hello Dolly" (1969) which is well worth watching in it's entirety if you're into musicals. Every time somebody watches "Wall-E" I always tell them that they'll probably also enjoy Tim Burton's "9" (2009) from a year later. It's got a similar vibe to it. 🤖

My thoughts while watching: Rukiya: "We're gonna be frickin' crying." Me: Oh, yes. Yes, you are. Liala: "I'm trying to have someone look at me the way Wall-E looks at Eve, like that." Me: I know the feeling. And yet I find it nigh impossible to imagine that no one ever has looked at you that way, Liala. And the first third of this movie is indeed a wonderfully crafted piece of visual storytelling. As so many fans and professionals have noted, it relates so much with almost no dialog or exposition. Thank you both for reacting to this. It's one of my favourites!

WALL-E, although he is a robot and artificial creature, either by his direct actions or indirect consequences of his actions causes the human race to return back to a state of normalcy. His disruptive nature also undermines the automated control measures which kept the human race enslaved. This movie has incredibly high stakes but packages it in an adorable love story for kids.

There's no better character than the Captain of the Axiom for that trope of "I thought this character was going to be a goofball screwup but in fact everything they do is great." They could have made the humans worthless, but they're all just out of practice. When they try, they slay it. They just ain't been trying.

So just what were you two doing when WALL*E was originally released? The song, in the beginning, is from the musical Hello Dolly, which is have not seen I strongly suggest putting it on your list. I would also suggest that if you liked WALL*E you should look into the films of Buster Keaton such as The General.

An interesting fact about this movie is that the original script for the movie’s ending was much darker and far more sad. In the ending we got Wall-E was repaired by Eve and his memory core took a little while to catch up to the repairs making him forget everything except his programming temporarily. However in the original script, Wall-E would have never regained his memories.

I don't trust my childhood memories either. I have very strong memories that feel just like all the others from my childhood and my mom has straight up informed me they never happened. Thinking about it some of them are totally illogical but they FEEL real. My brain is so wonky it just constructed a false reality for me.
