The scene where Garth asks Wayne about finding Bugs Bunny attractive when he put on a female costume was improvised by Dana Carvey. Mike Myers' reaction and laugh was genuine and not scripted.

^This! Queen thanked and repaid Mike Myers the favor by giving him a sizable role in the biopic film; ironically as the record exec telling Queen NOT to release the epic song! I'm not sure how obvious that is to most folks who saw 'Bohemian Rhapsody'.

Fun Fact: According to guitarist Brian May, Freddie Mercury did give permission for the song to be used and saw the clips while he was close to death because Mike Myers had sent a tape and wanted him to see it, which Mike Myers really fought to keep the song "Bohemian Rhapsody" in the movie and nearly the whole song too. Also, Tia Carrere was already an accomplished singer before this movie and did all her singing scenes. She also learned how to play the bass guitar for the songs too. Definitely can't wait for "Wayne's World 2" reaction!

I can't stress enough just how popular this was. It started as a recurring skit on Saturday Night Live in the early 90s. I think there's actually one episode that features Madonna in lingerie seducing Wayne. Mike Myers was in another good but dark comedy around this time called So I Married An Axe Murderer. Pretty funny, but very early 90s.

During lockdown, a zoom group chat was filmed among the cast, director, and such for Wayne's World. They even had the suck-cut inventor there! I had the soundtrack (REALLY solid, plus it sparked my love for Queen), the official baseball cap, a t-shirt, a poster on my wall, the VHS. I think it was the first time I wore flannel shirts and Chucks. And all the unforgettable catchphrases! This was a Saturday Night Live skit turned into a movie, and they don't always work, but this one did. I'm so glad you enjoyed it! The reason Stairway To Heaven was "denied' is because in real life the rights for the song were gonna be too steep. In actuality they only played two correct notes and had to edit the other notes or else they'd have to pay the very steep rights to use the real riff. It became more of a running gag because because in real life people used to play Stairway To Heaven when testing new guitars

The joke about stairway is that it's so popular and just complicated enough for a newish guitarist to try and show off by playing it. It's just that retail hell of hearing the same song on repeat forever. Hence, the "ban".

This and the movie Bohemian Rhapsody gave Queen a whole new life and the ability to sell out arenas around the world again. Brian is 76 and Roger is 74 now. I saw them twice last week and it was the best concert I have seen in 50 years of going to shows. I watched several hobby people around me fall that had been talking about his no one could compare to Megadeth and Metallica fall under the spell and tell me after the shiw that I was right it was the best show they had been to as well. Adam Lambert isn't Freddie but damn he can sing his face off.

I forgot Ballroom Blitz was in this. You reacting to that song for the first time is one of my favorites. Your dance moves had me cracking up!

32:30- Leo the thing is, Wayne's World was a SNL skit that "sold out" to even get a movie in the first place😂 another good SNL turned movie is Coneheads (Chris Farley, Dan Akroyd, and David Spade are all great in it.)

In the 80s and 90s every soulless corporate shill and psycho serial killer gangster character in movies had that gelled and slicked back hair that Rob Lowe is sporting in this movie... same look that all the Trumps wear unironically.
Who would you rather bone, "Meg Ryan, Or Jack Nicholson?"
