Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall each played 4 characters in this movie. In the barbershop scenes Eddie played 2 characters, Clarence the barber, and Saul, the old Jewish white guy. Arsenio played Morris, the barber who was always eating. In the club Arsenio also played the woman who told Akeem I WANNA TEAR YOU APART. At the Black Awareness rally, Eddie played Randy Watson. Arsenio played Reverend Brown.

TRUE STORY: My neighbor is a complete asshole. Literally called the police when the church next door to me had the audacity to hold a funeral on a Saturday. In response, Ive been doing the *"GOOD MORNING MY NEIGHBORS"* at 430am every day for 8 years come November 7th. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 The local police 100% support me and often find a reason to blast their sirens around that time at least once a week. EDIT: One of the cops he called on me day 3 was cute as hell and she literally fell down laughing when I did the "YES YES FUCK YOU TOO" part. We've been "buddies" ever since😂😂😂

This is possibly my favorite comedy of all time. We used to live in a golden age of cinema and culture. Edit: This is also the first instance I recall of ever seeing a shared film universe i.e. between trading places and coming to america.

Choreography by Paula Abdul who was also Arsenio’s girlfriend. Eddie and Arsenio played some of the barbershop characters and Sexual Chocolate with the preacher. Eddie as the old Jewish man was brilliant. Arsenio is the preacher.

I am so glad that you were able to watch Trading places just before watching this so that you catch the cameo thrown in there. I was already laughing just waiting for the moment of realization to hit. Hopefully we get to see you react to the new sequel Coming 2 America.

People all got that experience back then because movies were cheap, so the whole country saw that movie 5 years ago in the theater then saw this in the theater too.

@douglasmurphy3266 Yup, similar to the Lethal weapon series, and Mel Gibson's movie Maverick.

You should absolutely do another Eddie Murphy film that often gets over-looked, but is a great movie, “Boomerang”. Such a great cast, and a truly great movie.
