I enjoyed this short film. His fear, his hesitation, at his first pride parade......and finally, in the end, at least the audience is left with the hope that he's learning to accept. And to follow his desires.....even if he did hesitate for a moment, he followed in the end. Sweet, hopeful!

Subtitles : He gets into the tel-aviv center, asks the precels seller: " where's the beach" then he answers the phone to his girl friend and says : "im stuck at work ill be late let's prospone the date (or whatever)" then when he is getting wierd the dude asks him " are you O.K" and he answers "yes" that's it. you're welcome.

I liked the way the filmmaker just encouraged young people not to give up , to keep searching for a way to connect, in any way possible. I preferred that the story did not define what happened next. It was getting to that point that was so important.

A nicely done short! People don't understand the trepidation that comes with Coming Out, not just to family or friends, but with coming into the gay community. I saw myself and my friends in this film. Beautiful and subtle.

+C A Campbell Wentworth Miller starred in the movie, "Dinotopia" and in the TV series, "Prison Break." Now he's Captain Cold in the TV series, "The Flash." He came out as gay a few years ago. Wikipedia has the most information on him. Google his name and you will also find photos of him.

This brings up a wave of feelings. I do remember what he is feeling. Although there was NO visibility of an homosexual world when I was his age. No parades, no internet Nada, niente, rien, garnichts. But the feelings of seeing something, wanting to be part of it, terrified maybe to be one of them, attracted and repelled all at the same time. Racing heart, conflicted emotions, feelings along with a sexual undertone. You long to be part of and yet run far away. For this lad in some ways more difficult than when I was his age. There IS the visibility, positive laws and more support but also today we know exactly how much hate there is against us and how many enemies we have. When I was already a boy I could perceive the negative feeling of society against those few effeminate men people saw and made derogatory comments against. But I had no idea there was actually a society of homosexual men living out their lives and certainly had no sense of the tidal wave of vitriol and hate the society had against homosexuality. Yes, I was bullied and once beaten by some nasty young thugs when I was myself 18 but that for me did not represent all of humanity. Today young people, we all know that a good portion of this world population would like to make us disappear even to the point of mass extinction. It is difficult for me to imagine this Israel. I was there in 1979 and 1981 and at that time had the impression that if homosexuality was not a capital offence people would have liked it to be. There was no freedom, understanding or acceptance. Of course we all know why. The entire prejudice and hate originated in Leviticus and was spread by Christianity and them Islam. Once the bigotry was written it gave free license to all sexually repressed men to take up the banner to persecute in the name of their mythological god.

+Rafael Pereira You're welcome...=)...I kinda like the way the film-maker made use of the Gay Pride celebration for that young man to finally decide what he really wants. He probably had jitters for checking on that parade and beach party, but following that guy on board the bus made it clear that, yeah, he's gay! hahaha...and it's good he finally did something about it....I think it's a matter of how much you can relate to this little film that's why most people found it a little bit boring...=)

Ps, when the older man asks if he is ok I wondered if that is a common practice. Certainly not in any country I know. Concern for a stranger and offering assistance. That has been lost in much of the world. I was grateful for the subtitles. I do like sound of the Hebrew language but it is very difficult to learn. Thank you for sharing this short film. I've seen a couple of full length Israeli films on this theme that were brilliant if not heartbreaking.

To be honest I lived in Israel in the 2000 for 7 years to be exact and the Israeli society is nothing like other societies lived in a few latin countries and grew up in US east coast and now in the south of the country and to be truthful people in Israel are genuine and they do really show concern for others.

Umm duh, they have gays openly serving in the military, recognize domestic partnership laws and marriages performed abroad. Just like with any person, coming out can be daunting and scary at times, even if you live in one of the gayest cities in the world like Tel Aviv, San Francisco or elsewhere.
