For the record: yes we need better straps/chains Rear of the truck only dropped about an inch with the tongue weight. Didn't push/bounce or move the truck around at all front end wasn't light either. I'd rather have a little extra tongue weight than not enough. The loading of the trailer had nothing to do with truck only being able to do 50 up some of the hills. Check engine light is on for DEF heater, this doesn't cause limp mode or any issues unless the DEF freezes and it was 50+ degrees out.

There's some straps you can use but the straps we used aren't the best for it. Buying some new ones soon.

i love how you literally keep complaining about the trucks power when its literally running in limp mode did you forget its a 2011? ya can just ignore the check engine light on newer vehicles like ya could in older ones any emissions codes(your being def heater is one) automatically detunes the engine to prevent it from melting down fix the truck then test your dmax wouldnt like when a major component(emissions) fails and you just keep ignoring it like a child either its a 2011 it makes 390hp and 735tq so in limp mode your like 99-03 7.3 power level(225-235hp and 285-295tq) range (my dream truck is a 99-03 7.3ps crew cab 4x4 dually the 2023 6.7 makes 500hp and 1200tq no stock diesel truck makes 700hp 1500 tq yet anyway get the truck fixed itll be way better (its 10x better without emissions but i know you aint trying to get in trouble either) have a good one man

They will only go into limp mode if the DEF freezes, not just because of the heater fault.

@@TopLineRacer yes they will dmax cummins powerstroke isx mack etc any engine that has a computer will go into limp mode if there a emissions or powertrain fault and when you run out of def it completely loses all power def heater fault is a emissions code the heater is likeyly plugged
