First train in 3 years: Bay Colony Railroad Millis Line - 1/6/2022

In this video we take a look back to never before seen footage of BCLR on the Millis, MA Line in 2022. This was the first run in three years after the last two cement cars left the line in 2019. The railroad attempted to make a go with this restored customer/service but it didn't last as only 15 loads were delivered. The line has not seen a train since July 2022. Enjoy this archive footage of a rail catch on a seemingly abandoned spur track.

Would love to see the line back in use, just seems like there's no customers in Mills that it could service beyond Tresca on occasion. GAF kept this line alive for a long time.

Did Mass Coastal buy the Bay Colony RR? If they did , do they also own the Seminole Gulf RR in Florida? Just curious. Thanks in advance for any info. I wouldn’t mind seeing the beautiful Mass Central scheme in the Bradenton/Sarasota/Ft. Myers area while visiting friends and family.

Nothing to do with the level of rail service. GAF consolidated their operations so the Millis facility was closed and torn down.
