A few quick tips from my time as a Robbie student: During the outside blade / rotor hub check - rotate the blades to the 3 - 9 O'clock position. This ensures that you have removed the tie downs! During the cyclic / collective check, watch the blades. Both move together with collective. During cyclic when you move the stick towards the blade there is a small movement, at 90 degrees a large deflection. Have fun learning.

It does my old heart good to see you and Lester flying together again Major. I was so very worried about him after the mishap. Are you ready to order up your new helicopter flight helmet yet? Coming from an old Marine Helo Maintainer I told one of our CH-46 pilots when he came in my shop giving me good natured grief one day, "Sir, Helicopters do not fly, they beat the air into submission."

Funny, my instructor told me a quick stop, is neither quick nor is it a complete stop...🙄

Hi Mover, friendly heads up. The door latch needs to be back and down to be fully locked. Otherwise it'll pop the door on you.
