Just found your page (may 2023 Goats playing on a wooden spool) Decided to go back to your beginning to see which animals came first. . (27:36) Not ragweed. But it does look like something that the goats-you-do-not-yet-have will like. Looks like Lespedeza (my goats love love love this stuff). Drought tolerant too.

This takes me back to 30 years ago when my husband and I bought our place. Watching you run that weekender brought to mind my first piece of advice for you. Both of you need to invest in a good pair of heavy duty gloves. Not the wimpy gardeners gloves made of cloth, but the Suede type that electricians wear. Believe me, your hands will thank me. With all of the hard work you'll be doing, you'll get blisters and calluses in a hurry without them.

That little tree you cut down is a sumac (not the poison variety.) Ants tunnel up the inside core and kill them after a couple seasons. Usually they die standing. The wood is too soft to be good for anything but burning, but they give off a lot of sparks, so if you use it in a woodstove indoors, don't open the door much to add more wood until it's pretty much burned to coals.

LOL.. I love the ending! Ok honest review here... I love Shannon! First of all she is so cute, she's healthy, she's spunky, she's clutsy (I can identify), She's eager to learn, she's excited and she sees what she doesn't like and cuts it down! She is going to be a hoot to watch. The property looks amazing. Who's idea was it to take all the specialty shots, like the ones of the car going over the camera? That was a nice touch, something we don't often see out of new videographers. Music was a nice touch. Someone has a little editing experience. Kyle has a good sense of humor, seems like a hard worker and I think he's going to be interesting to watch. I signed up for the journey! I hope you guys are going to the homesteading meeting in Pryor Oklahoma. If so, then I will see you in March. If you do decide to do lives - can you do them on the weekend? There is this hole in my youtube schedule on the weekends. It seems like no one wants to do stuff on Saturday evening or Sundays. God bless you guys. Keep it real.

I know I don't have to say this, but make sure you ALWAYS check for ticks. They are so dangerous. If its itchy you may want to make sure they still aren't on you. The LAST thing you need is Lyme Disease. My grandson has it and honestly it is devastating. Please be careful. Great vid also. Good to see you make some progress.

Need to hurry up and get that Chicken Coupe set up and get them Chickens for Shannon, at least some free range Guineas, that will take care of any Tick Issues. I bought 20 Acres 2 Years ago, working on the Drive was My biggest problem in the beginning, needed to build My own actually, My place is virgin land, now the Lumber Prices are at a lower affordable/acceptable limit, I can finally start building something, wishing You all the best, You've got a lot more work ahead, I think if I were You I'd start by getting rid of all those dangerous buildings and start with a fresh slate. Maybe repurpose some of the good lumber? Good luck on Your Journey and stay safe out there! 👍🤠

I'm excited for you two, starting your new chapter in life. At 22, I build a 50' × 82' L-ranch (including a 2 car garage) on 2 1/4 acres here in rural Western Mass. It took me 2 years to finish it working nights & weekends, in addition to my day job. I raised up 3 kids in that house. I'm 71 now & never want to work that hard again!!!
