I needed this so much today. Ive been waking up crying every day feeling so guilty and so shameful that I am not enjoying this. I was trying so I am so happy that I am pregnant. But I am 6 weeks, and I feel so alien, not myself at all and having some serious body image issues. (which i always struggled with). My workout routines have been completely uprooted, and i feel horrible that in my mind thats even a thing! How selfish of me. I wanted this I love this little being in my belly, whats wrong with me. My brain is in such a fog, and I have never felt so isolated, depressed and down. I truly felt like something was wrong with me. I came on here looking to hear from other women, to see if there were others that could relate to how i feel. I am too early on to be able to share with people around me to get feed back so this was my only option at the moment. I definitely feel less alone right now.

I am almost 13 weeks pregnant right now, still obsessively watching these videos so I can know when others started to feel better so I can focus on some positivity 😅 I am on a whole feeling better but still having so much nausea and tiredness which is helllll. But I just wanted to thank you for talking about the mental health impacts. I was definitely very depressed and anxious at the start of the first trimester once my symptoms started. I felt so unwell, low energy, low motivation and just felt so crap about myself. When you’re not moving, or eating well, that doesn’t help you feel better about yourself but you really have no other option. It’s also super lonely, isolating and confusing when you wanted to get pregnant but now you’re pregnant you’re feeling unhappy. Then feeling guilt about not feeling happy and excited. Honestly such a horrible time and I don’t know how I got through it, but you do! I’m much better mentally now but the physical symptoms are lingering longer than I’d like 🥲

I’m very unexpectedly pregnant (and unfortunately I’m 19) and I’ve known for a very long time very strongly that I want to be a parent but the circumstances are just not great right now and so I’m mostly nervous about that. I told my mom and she’s been very understanding (thank god) so that’s been the biggest help. I’m 9 weeks right now and it feels like absolute hell. I was getting so sick that that was the reason I even suspected I might be pregnant in the first place (I had implantation bleeding that I thought was my period which is why it took me 8 weeks to realize I was even pregnant). I actually thought I was having a depressive episode because I was getting so sick in the mornings that I went off my anti depressants bc I thought they were making me sick, and I felt fine but after about a week my energy just got so low and I felt physically awful and I literally thought I was having withdrawal from my medication or I was in a depressive episode. Nope. Turns out I’m just pregnant😒

I am reaching the end of my pregnancy journey - 38 weeks! And this video reminded me of those first trimester days. I too had terrible nausea and bloating, but also a cold and frequent vomiting that lasted well into 18 weeks. I couldn't eat much, and even water was hard to hold down. I frequently got dehydrated and had to get a couple IV fluids infusions to get me through. I was also depressed and couldn't really appreciate being pregnant even though I wanted to be. But the 2nd trimester was much better and was finally able to be excited about the pregnancy. Now that I am in the end of my third trimester, I see what a journey pregnancy really is and I look forward to seeing how things will be grow and change for you! Thanks for sharing your experience and encouraging so many women out there

I’m in my 1st trimester with my second baby and with my first I had ZERO symptoms of morning sickness but this one like you said week 6 hit and it was all day nausea, it’s been awful and of course my husband has been away at military school for the last 2 months so I’ve felt so alone and kinda miserable with the nausea and my rambunctious toddler drains the little energy I have. I just pray it goes away in my second trimester.

I'm sitting here nursing my baby boy while I watch your video this afternoon! He's just 2.5 months old now. It's been so fun reliving my pregnancy through your recent videos, Nikole. My first trimester was so similar to yours. That constant nausea was brutal. Always feeling hungover is exactly how I described it to people! I only threw-up once, but always felt like I could throughout the day. Thank you for being honest about all your highs and lows. I definitely felt them too. Pregnancy is hard enough already, let alone facing it through a worldwide pandemic! You are strong! I was in my third trimester/went through birth right in the thick of it, so I can relate to the anxiety you've felt. I keep telling myself this unique experience will give us great stories to tell our children one day. It's a crazy time, but special in a way too. Looking forward to following your journey! ♥️🥑

I’ll be 14 weeks tomorrow with our first! Your symptoms, aversions, and other comments seemed to be so similar to my experiences! One difference was that I loved kimchi and pickles in the first trimester! I had bad nausea but never threw up. At one point I thought “I just wish I would puke and feel better!” But as soon as I felt like I was going to throw up I would say, “why did I ever say I wanted to puke!? I really don’t want to puke!” and then I wouldn’t puke. 😂 Your tips are also spot on! Congratulations and thanks for sharing. I appreciate it - feel much less alone when I can watch/hear others talk about it. My family is 1,000 miles or more away (both mine and my husband’s), so it’s been really difficult. I’ve been homesick, wanted to see my family and it was so hard. Thankfully we got the chance to meet family now, but we were nervous and extra cautious due to the pandemic.

Yes! The tiredness, dizziness, cramps, sore muscles, moodiness and forgetfulness is crazy. If anyone has ever tried giving up carbs it's like that. It's like really bad flu pains without the other symptoms. I am drinking lots of water, yet I don't feel like doing anything or eating anything. Potassium, coconut water, iron and vitamin D have been helping a little bit. I can hardly stand up and sleep all the time and can only take panadol (I usually take advil/nuraphen). I had to check every vitamin and supplement. Wow so much for this tiny little thing, so much has changed already! :)

I started drinking peppermint tea and this has really done wonders. And once I started my prenatal vitamins, I was much better. I craved dairy like mad. My favorite snack was guacamole. I’m in my first trimester and you described it perfectly! It hit me overnight. I can’t eat anything but fruit and even still it’s sickness all day. I can barely drink water. I feel dizzy when I get out of bed or I can barely move out of bed. I feel tugging in my abdomen. I don’t know what to do.

I watched this forever ago when we were thinking about starting to try to conceive. I’m watching again now that I’m pregnant, and I feel so validated with all of my symptoms at 6w,4d. 😂 the allllll day nausea is just rough! It’s really such a disservice to call it “morning sickness”. It’s literally all - day - long.

I'm in the first trimester, we're surprised specially me though we just go with the flow if I were get pregnant or not. I will have my first check up by January next year. Everything is new to me because this is my first time and I still can't believe that I'm pregnant. But I'm doing my best to take care of everything. I'm doing research and watching videos and I'm thankful and happy that I saw your video, making me realize I'm not alone, that's why I subscribed coz I know I will learn something useful from this channel. And I will be watching more of your videos starting today. Please do a lot. 💖

November 3rd is my birthday! I am a mom of two and I totally agree with the first trimester being the hardest. That and being over due was the worst for both of my pregnancies... I have so much more appreciation for my body and my mommy now! Enjoy your pregnancy

Thank you so much for uploading this! I am also pregnant for the first time. I am a few days short of 13 weeks and have been struggling with the 1st trimester too. This pandemic has made it mentally hard but moms are strong and we will get through it!

I’m just so excited for you and this journey! I can relate to a lot of how you felt in your first trimester. & I also just had my baby in April right before the pandemic caused stores to close down, but it still affected the end of my pregnancy as only my bf could be in the hospital with me & my last few appointments no one was allowed to come in with me... but I’m excited for you & Matt and trust me you don’t even know the kind of love you will have for your baby once he/she is in your arms, it will all be worth it!

Love this video! All the good and ugly of pregnancy. A lot of people don’t talk about the bad especially the mental health part! Thank you for this, I’ve been pregnant twice and my mental health was the worst part. Love this, love you! Sending you good vibes and I hope you enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. Can’t wait for all the baby content 💜

Thank you for sharing everything Nikole! Just FYI, when I was pregnant in the middle of the night I smacked on frozen organic dark cherries for the extra magnesium and did some yoga to get back to sleep. Calm powder at bed time made a huge difference too!

Hi N! I am a Mother of one amazing little girl. I was sooooo blessed in my pregnancy that i never experienced any nausea. This was actually my second pregnancy, i had a miscarriage at 26 weeks. And fell pregnant again after 4 months.... and hey.... i can tell you we weren't ready for another pregnancy.... but as you said.... everything happens for a reason. My angel baby was given back to me.... and i can really relate with the anxiety, depression and uncertainty!! I love the fact that you also feel you can be real on this.... and share.... because this pandemic already makes you feel alone..... with all the restitution. Hope the second trimester is better..... love your channel. Xxx

I’m 7.5 weeks pregnant. Peppermint oil is a lifesaver… I feel nauseous all day long everyday. Haven’t thrown up but definitely been close.

Omg its ridiculously good to hear someone say all the same things as me!!! All my routines went out of whack, constant exhaustion and feelings of depression which are not usual for me. Yes yogurt and oranges were my go too!! And lots of walking instead of the usual running.
