Livescope fishing is everywhere now..tuff to beat... Don't let it get you down. Maybe something you can slowly tweak for yourself. I wouldn't lose sight of your goals for the season! I just attended the MN DNR Round table meeting on Friday. This is a big topic in the outdoor industry. As it's completely taking the market over, it seems. You've proven yourself extremely well over the years with a high skill set! Never lose sight of the basics, IMO. Advanced tools can definitely help one out but not always make the fish eat. I think people can definitely learn new things using them..where fish hold, etc...Wishing you the best this season! Stay safe out there and kick some ass lady!! New rig..new year ✨️ 🙌

I fished that spot 3 weeks ago. Pretty identical pattern to what you did and I eventually found them in the deeper water later in the day. The weather here has been bi-polar so where they would normally be shallow they have been schooling on the edges of the depth changes to deeper water. It has definitely been frustrating.

Kristine, here are my thoughts on why it is so difficult to try and learn different fishing locations, techniques and lures. When we caught a fish our brain floods with dopamine, and we are elated. It is an awesome feeling! A feeling we want to duplicate repeatedly and often. Once a person master’s a fishing technique or lure, we often stick with it because we know we will catch fish and get that release of dopamine. Trying a new technique or lure creates stress and anxiety. The exact opposite of a dopamine dump. For someone like me and others that watch your videos, it isn’t that important for us to elevate our fishing skills to the level you need to be at because many of us are not tournament fishermen (women). For years I would only throw a Texas rig crawl, fishing on the bottom or running it along the top. Caught hundreds if not thousands of bass fishing that way. Last year, I forced myself to throw a rattletrap, swimbait and 6” glide bait. I caught a lot of bass using all three. My comfort zone is still a crawl, but I am quicker to go to the other lures if the crawl isn’t working. Thanks for the videos. Question - Have you ever fished the Blackwater river in Milton FL? If so, how would you rate it?
@saltwaterdawgoutdoors2190 Жыл бұрын
work on the active target, most of us would be ecstatic to catch the fish you caught with it on this outing.

I think you should spend the time to learn the jerk bait with live scope; my opinion that it would just be another tool in arsenal that may help win a tournament. Fishing professionally you need as many tools as a possible.

I know what you mean about the Live Scope fishing, for me it really isn't fishing. I realize that it really is electronic sight fishing, it is fine tuned sight fishing. My thing is that I cherish the hunt for the fish. I have been told that I do hunt fish because of the way that I fish. I do broadcast fishing, usually as a last resort when spot fishing does produce. But hey girl, any day on or at the water is better than sitting on dry land thinking about fishing.

If you're fishing for a living. You better learn all aspects of the tools you can use. Especially FFS. If you're just a weekend local tournament angler. Then it's your choice. I've learned mine over the years, and it has helped me understand fish habits and made my weekend trips more enjoyable. I'm in a fishing tournament for the friendship. It gives me the fulfillment from the void of competition hockey. I could care less if I won. I'd rather see someone else catch a good limit because for some people, it's their only competition they experienced. Pluss I'm older and just want to enjoy life and influence the younger generation. 😊
