Sending love and prayers for Ray and all of you. My son had a massive stroke in 2014. He was in his early 20's. What I can promise you Kelly, is you WILL have the strength you need to face this. Somehow that mama "bear" comes out and gives us extraordinary abilities to make it through each day. I'm happy to tell you that my son survived, and his personality came back 100%, which is what I prayed for. Physically he is still profoundly handicapped, but he did learn to walk again. It took us a year, but he got there in the end. He has a full time job now, is married and is a father. But I do know that overwhelming fear that you are experiencing, and I will be praying daily for you and your family!

Patti, Thank you for Kelly and family. But also for me. My son had a triple stroke September 3, and I feel lost and struggling with all my emotional rollercoaster every day. He is 40 and a father of 4. He is back living with me and I am still trying to find blessings in each day. I had one several years back. I lost my vision and it came back to me also. I'm praying for Kelly, her son Ray, and family. Thank you Patti for sharing your journey of recovery for your son. I needed to read that today also. Thank you for your inspiring insight.

@@caroljolly4764 It breaks my heart to hear about your son’s strokes. My son actually had two strokes as well. The first one wasn’t too bad, but as he was leaving the hospital, he had the massive one. My husband and I also brought him home with us. We had to install hand rails, and have work done so our house had wheel chair access to the rooms and bathroom. I remember helping him into the car and lifting the wheel chair into the trunk, every day to take him to therapy. I’m 4’ 11” tall, so it was a lot of heavy lifting. But he improved slowly. Fortunately, he wasn’t married yet, so he didn’t have kids like your son does. This must be so hard on them. And, as a mom, we want so badly to take our sons’ place so they don’t have to suffer. But we made it through, and we live life now with joy and gratitude just to have each other. I am now very sick, and spend most days resting.... but I still thank God for life and my beautiful family. You will get there, but you are in the worst part right now. I will be praying for you, your son and your family!♥️♥️♥️

My daughter, now in her 40's had cancer when she was 9 months old. It was a rare form and rapid growing. She survived and I survived, it wasn't easy, but somehow the strength needed to endure was there, and it will be for you also. That was many years ago when doctors decided what was best for the patient. My husband passed 5 years ago, it was such a shock to find out that his doctor wasn't the last word in what treatment was needed, the insurance company was. it is so frustrating. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your son. Our Lord will see you through. God bless you both with healing and faith.

Sounds like Ray has some amazing doctors on his medical team. So happy to hear that Ray has a mentor that has walked in Ray's shoes. He knows exactly how he feels and what all he is going through. Know that this Storm that Ray and all of you are in, you are not alone. Jesus is in the Eye of this Storm with you all. He will see you through the tough times and the not so good days. My thoughts and continued prayers are with ya'll for strength and staying positive. Praying for all of Ray's doctors and his medical team that they come up with the best form of treatment to beat this horrible disease. Continued prayers for complete healing! We serve a mighty God! He's Got This! ✝️🙏🙏🙏

How amazing that cancer survivors would be a mentor for someone else who has the same. I've never heard of that but I'm sure that is extremely helpful and even hopeful. Continued love and support for your family.

You are so brave to share your story and to be so honest about it. My family is currently struggling with my dad's lung cancer and hearing how others are dealing with their difficult situations gives me courage. Thank you for that. Praying for your son, you, and your family. Keep loving and being a light!

Heather, if you or your dad needs someone to talk to, someone that can offer some hope, I am here for you. I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in early November 2012 and was expected to live 4 months. For some reason, God has seen fit to leave me here on earth - outliving my only child and my only sibling, both of whom have passed away after my diagnosis. At one time and for quite a few years, I was a very active advocate for lung cancer awareness and also acted as a mentor for a number of people after they were diagnosed. My mantra has always been - "I can't lose. I love living life here on earth but if God sees fit to take me Home, I walk on streets of gold in the presence of my Savior. Win-win."

I just read your first notice regarding your son. My heart and prayers will be with you and your family. I will talk to my priest this evening and ask for special prayers and a mass for Ray's miraculous healing. May the Great Physician preside closely over Ray's case and care and healing. Our faith and hope in God Almighty is with you in this journey. You are NOT ALONE IN THIS VALLEY. WE PRAYER WARRIORS ARE WITH YOU ALL!! God bless Ray's father for recommending the mentor; what a great idea. It will definitely help him.

Thank you for the update. Just know that my mama heart breaks & cries with yours❤️ During 2020 I gave up tv and made KZbin my main source of ‘entertainment.’ Because of that, watching my “favorites” a lot, I feel like certain creators became my “friends.” And you, sweet lady, are one that I feel like is a FRIEND. I needed positivity and your channel is one that I turned to for that. Your channel comes up quite frequently on my feed, so know that it brings Ray, you & your family to my mind very often for prayers. Funny how the internet can bring people into your life that you never would’ve met otherwise, and you feel like you actually get to “know” them and care for their well-being. So, sending much love & prayers for Ray, you and your family.🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻

Kelly- while not a fan of your DIY videos, I am a fan of your dedication to family life. There is no need to take time from your life right now to say " thanks" . Those who love you, know you appreciate it. Spend that energy towards your family, and know that you are loved.

And I'm in awe of you, Kelly. I could never be as strong if it were my child. I pray God gives you and Ray strength every day and walks beside you through this trial. Know that you are loved by all of us . 💕

Prayers to you and your family. Sending healing energy to Ray. On another note: check the vegetables that have high sugar content, example-carrots, so you can remove them from his diet. We are all here for you so if you need anything please let us know.

Kelly, you are an amazing mom who has done an amazing job raising your children. I say that, because you said how strong Ray is while dealing with this. Also you said that Kayla is a rock. They learned that by watching their Mama for their entire lives. I have so much respect for you. You never give yourself enough credit. But that’s ok, that’s what we’re here for. You know the song - I changed a couple of words. 🎶 Lean on us, when you’re not strong. We’ll be your strength. We’ll help you carry on 🎶 Got bless you

Continuing to pray for you, Ray, and your family. ❤ When it comes to health insurance: the squeaky wheel gets the oil. Don’t hesitate to wear them out in terms of follow up when dealing with prior authorizations, referrals, or even claims. The insurer should be working for you, so don’t let them forget that (like they sometimes do).

After your initial post, I didn't realize that I could have more respect...more appreciation...or be more in awe of you as a Mother than I already was. I know, now, that it has only grown. You are fighting this battle in the very best way you possibly can. The research, the togetherness and the help you are seeking/finding(!) I am so grateful that you are FINDING it! This is all so incredible. I am sending you extra hugs, Mamma. I can literally feel through this screen how hard you are trying to get everything right. How hard you are trying to be there for each of your children. Every fiber of you is just pouring into it. You keep saying that Ray is strong and I believe with everything in me that he is because I know EXACTLY where he gets his strength from! Today, and for each new tomorrow, my heart is with you and your family on this journey. I am sending you prayers, positive thoughts and energy, healing and all the blessings you all so very much deserve! 🙏 ❤

Kelly, you have an army of us out here on your side & that are praying for you, Ray & your entire family right now. We want to keep you strong & let you know that prayers are being sent every day for all of you. It's not a pleasant road to go down, but the Lord up above is making sure Ray beats this monster! Also happy to hear that Ray does have a mentor to whom he can talk with about this. This will also help him in the long run. Be well, be safe & TYFS.
