Hey Roland, thank you for sharing, Im on the stage now where I need to have portfolio done, and you know, it takes some time 😅 I saw your site, great work done there, and you programmed it. Wow for me. I have one thing to say, I know you didnt ask but cmon, its free advice from other designer - attach your CV in pdf, otherwise you cant be sure that after downloading to someones computer it will appears as you planned. Pdf is a safe side 🤞🏻

Thanks Che Chi, yes i'm very glad the heavy lifting has been done now. Of course, feedback is always welcomed! Although, my CV is already attached as a PDF, it just opens in the browser and the user has the option to save it wherever they want if they choose to 😁

Thank you Esther! Yeah it's always good to use a question like that to keep the case study focused and make it clear the problem we're trying to solve. Best of luck with your Portfolio too 😁

@@TwinkleToes_2001 Hi Catherine, I coded the website myself so used Atom and github to put it on the platform. What do you mean by display the project?

Hey! Currently in the Google course and seeing this video is very helpful! Side note: on your about page under “tools I use”, there’s a comma after XD that I think is a typo

I’ve just watched all your vids! Did you end up getting a job yet? How is that going? Asking for myself who wants to do the same career change

Thanks for the support Liezl. Yes I do have a new/different job to when I first started the course and I have filmed the video to walk through and explain my current situation. I have just been so busy at the moment that I haven't had the time to watch it back and put the clips together. Bare with me though, hit the subscribe button and you'll get notified as soon as I upload it :D

Hey :) I have experience with design tools and I watched a dozen of UI/UX courses, read UX articles. I understand the process, but what I don't know is how to use UI elements and patterns - how to transform ideas into UI elements and patterns? I can do a survey, testing etc, but how to learn what is checkbox, wizard, tertiary button?
@reux92892 жыл бұрын
Hi Igor, I think that UI is something that a lot of designers struggle with (myself included). In terms of the technical elements (eg how to create a style guide and design language system) that is all taught in the course, otherwise a good idea is to have a look at other portfolios and case studies for inspiration and take a note of the things you like and things you would improve to develop your own UI style.
