I recommend not going to sleep with wet hair it can cause frizz. Also I recommend sleeping with a satin bonnet. Also for that crown part try shingling or finger coiling to get it to match the rest of your hair!
@GabbieMorgan5 жыл бұрын
It really wasn’t wet it was slightly damp... maybe 90% dry. But that probably did have an affect. I slept on a satin pillowcase. Satin bonnets never stay on me! 😩 I will trying finger coiling or using a Denman brush. Thanks for your tips! xo

You’re curls are looking great! For your “problem area, i recommend finger coiling. It really helps with training your hair get the curl pattern you are looking for. Day two volume looks real good already, as more days go on, it will become more voluminous. You got the pick and shaking out the curl from the roots so you’ll get more volume from that. You definitely want to make sure your hair is dry before going to sleep but you’re on the right track girl! Welcome! Lol

Hey, just a quick tip, if you want, after your hair dries completely, you can use a little bit of product in your hands or a cotton shirt to sort of " squish" your curls. I do this just so they are more soft and not as hard as they get when they dry.

wrapping your hair with a bonnet can help with the frizz! it just frizzed up because you were sleeping and moving on it. since your crown part is looser than the rest you can finger coil train it to get it to match the rest of your hair. if you wanted to try a defining product though the black castor eco gel helps when you put it on your hair.

Mz.Melodicious it’s sad thar in today’s couture it’s all about the perfect beauty, people don’t appreciate how natural and ethereal frizz and other things are...

@@k.285 agreed sir. & i mean as for me personally, i really dont mind my hair frizzy, i actually think its kinda cool...as u can probably tell by my profile pic. lol. 😂 but yeah...it definitely is kind of strange/a little sad that in the society which we currently live in, i could never wear my hair out in its natural state to say, a public event, & def not to work, or even really just out to the grocery store for that matter, without getting tons of sideways glances from anyone who happens to be in my line of sight. then you have those straight haired people out there who actually have the audacity to try to tell us frizzy haired folks omg... what tf are you complaining for!? i WISH i had your hair. its so different! its beautiful! NOOO my poor confused straight haired friend....what u REALLY "wish" u had, is my hair AFTER ive already spent upwards of 15 min just trying to get it wet....then cowashing it, rinsing, conditioning, rinsing again, having to pick an entire small animals worth of hair shed off of my body before i can even get out the shower. then 10-15 min spent sectioning it off, adding leave in & carefully detangling all the knots....then applying and combing to evenly distribute the curl cream, gel/or mouse, and finally a serum or an oil to seal it all in. then 30+ min of gennntle diffusing....and god forbid if you try to rush that process AT ALL because i PROMISE you WILLL walk out the house looking like a godamn chia pet that day. so anytime they try to gimme that "ohh i love ur hair!" bs, im over here just like escuse me!? wtf did u just say?! no! im sorry. but i call bullshit! trust....you REALLY DONT wish you had my hair. because guess what? if you happen to sleep through your alarm in the morning, its not even a big deal. you just jump up throw clothes on skip a shower and hurry your ass in to work. because even if its first thing in the morning, your hair still looks "PRESENTABLE" aka, it falls within the standard of what is deemed "exceptable" in todays society. if i tried to do the same exact thing id either be sent tf home for looking unprofessional, be involuntarilly comitted to a mental institution, or id have to deal with a shit ton of nasty looks and weird comments and questions about everything from my nationality, to the state of my mental health that day....its fkng ridiculous. if any of those straight haired people ever really woke up with my ACTUAL HAIR on their head in all its natural glory, exactly as it grows out of my head completely untouched.....i garuntee you theyd never even set foot outside their fucking house again! at least not until they either broke down and ordered a wig on amazon or somehow learned how to style this hair in record time. and good fkn luck with that! cuz its already taken me the better part of my entire life & i STILL have days when i dont know what the hell went wrong. lmfao. and this turned into a bit more of a rant than i intended. oh well tho. hehehe..sorry not sorry? lol ✌😂

I LOVE YOUR HAIR!! I wish I had your type but I have 3a, but anyways if you’re looking for more volume you may want to use a less amount of product of heavy creams because it can weigh down your hair. Maybe like focus on moisture during the wash and even use a masque and then after use like a light leave in condition and consider using a bit of mousse or gel. I notice if I use products that are too heavy I get more volumee.

I read in the comments that you had used at satin pillow because the bonnet doesn’t stay on. This is just my personal experience but I thought it might help I have tried sleeping on a satin pillow with a pineapple vs in a bonnet and for whatever reason to bonnet is way better most times I dont even need to put anything in my hair the next day. But I was having the same problem where it was falling off because apparently I’m wild and crazy when I sleep🤦🏽♀️ so what I do is I put my hair in a pineapple but like super high like to my forehead and then put it in a bonnet and THEN rap it in a silk scarf. And I know it’s extra and not for everyone but my thought behind it was if one layer falls off (silk scarf) I still have another layer (bonnet). Anyway I know this is like world’s longest comment but if you get a chance to read it I hope it helps. Also your hair is beautiful 💕
