Nice analogy and so true! He is a rainbow in many aspects: vocally and musically speaking, in his personality, even in his looks, sometimes he seems totally different from a photo to another. He has so many distinct sides of him to show and never fails to delight us. Btw, he is the only man I can remember of always looking gorgeous no matter the color he's wearing. Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music. Dimash is a 30-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads, RnB and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 16 or 17 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country (and he still does). And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. You can't compare him to any other singer on this planet. He has so many different music genres and styles. He loves Freddie Mercury, but also Michael Jackson, Lara Fabian, Luciano Pavarotti and Eminem and you can also hear that one or the other has an influence on some of his songs. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄. He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audience to be seen or heard. And he was sweating because it wasn't his first song. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time. You also have to react to one of his most awesome songs. My first time hearing Dimash was in summer 2017. He sang his song at his first appearance on a Chinese talent show for professional singers, called "The Singer." You should see that version, too. You may prefer this version for the special effects, but I preferred the other one, partly because I was so stunned, but also because it was so wonderful to see the faces of the audience and fellow competitors. Dimash from Kazakhstan now aged 30 but studied music since age 5. Sings seven octaves, everything from opera to rap, in 14 languages, plays seven instruments, composes, directs, dances, models etc and is respectful, loving, patriotic, very educated, humble and very much the humanitarian. People fly in from 60-70 countries to attend his 3 hr concerts, I’ve been to five and I’m 79. Dimash works every day to improve his skills. He speaks Kazakh, and Russian fluently, pretty good in English and some mandarin. He us sweating because the song he sung previous to s o s on this digital show, was a pop song with a dance routine. Welcome to Dimash. Tip of the iceberg. Sinful Passion by Dimash is an absolute must. This was in French. Sinful Passion will be in Russian. He will sing just about anything, different genres, languages etc and do it all amazingly well. No one on earth like Dimash. Top that with him being a very humble down to earth appreciative person and you have a very unique and wonderful artist.

Dimash is de beste vocalist van deze tijd! Ik ben een dear(fan)uit Belgie van Dimash sinds 2018 en en naar een concert geweest 2 jaar geleden in Düsseldorf,Duitsland. Ik ga in november daar terug naar zijn concert. Je hebt nog niet alles gezien,hij is een zeer talentrijke,nederig en liefhebbende man. Zingt in veel verschillende talen en veel verschillende genres!
