@TDurdenArt 0 seconds ago I was working at Starbucks when I heard this song, at an absolutely miserable time in my life. No direction, no goals, no passions. I'm in a much better place now, but listening to this song now reminds me of the little comforts I'd take in, just to get me through the rough times. I'll always love this song.

I was in my room this afternoons and the window was opened then suddenly heard this song where my neighbour playing it loudly in their backyard. I felt with a relief for somehow. I picked up my phone and at the second attempt the Shazam got the song. 4 times I played the song while I was driving tonight. Thank you neighbour( I never saw them before ) for bringing me here

I was lucky enough to see First Aid Kit live last summer. It was an open air concert on a warm evening and I was blown away. They sing every bit as pitch perfect live as they do on their recordings. There's something about their voices and the way they harmonise that cuts right through you. I've been to see hundreds of bands live over the years but they are up their in the top 10 best ever. That evening was amazing. When they played this, the whole audience was singing along and the atmosphere was fantastic. If you ever get the chance to see them sing live, I can't recommend them highly enough.

Lyrics: Oh the bitter winds are coming in And I'm already missing the summer Stockholm's cold but I've been told I was born to endure this kind of weather When it's you I find like a ghost in my mind I am defeated and I gladly wear the crown I'll be your Emmylou and I'll be your June If you'll be my Gram and my Johnny too No, I'm not asking much of you Just sing little darling, sing with me Now so much I know that things just don't grow If you don't bless them with your patience And I've been there before, I held up the door For every stranger with a promise But I'm holding back, that's the strength that I lack Every morning keeps returning at my window And it brings me to you and I won't just pass through But I'm not asking for a storm I'll be your Emmylou and I'll be your June If you'll be my Gram and my Johnny too No, I'm not asking much of you Just sing little darling, sing with me And yes I might have lied to you You wouldn't benefit from knowing of the truth I was frightened but I held fast I need you now at long last I'll be your Emmylou and I'll be your June If you'll be my Gram and my Johnny too No, I'm not asking much of you Just sing little darling, sing with me I'll be your Emmylou and I'll be your June If you'll be my Gram and my Johnny too No, I'm not asking much of you Just sing little darling, sing with me Just sing little darling, sing with me

How the hell can 1100 people not like this song? This is by far one of First Aid Kit's best songs! It made Emmylou cry for god's sakes! Some people have no taste in music whatsoever.

I came across this song while playing Songpop on Facebook. It captured my attention as few songs have these days as I was amazed by the smooth rhythm and that they are very expressive with their words. I listened to some of their other songs and they are good but this one stands out. A beautiful song by two very beautiful and very talented young ladies. May God bless them and their music now and always!

Since my daughter was a month old we played this song for her when she cried and it would usually calm her right down and now her baby sister, too. I’d say 75% of the time it works, every time 😄🥰

Are they at Joshua Tree for this video? It would be so fitting. This song makes me cry everytime. I loved my late husband of 26 the same way Emmylou and June loved Gram and Johnny. Miss you so much, sweetheart 😭😭

Gram and Emmylou were a match made in heaven. When they sang together it was not of this world. But, the devil interfered. It was as if she lost half of herself. Yet the other half was still the greatest female vocalist of all time. I hope that I live a long life and when I die I will go to heaven and find Gram and Emmylou singing together there.

Performing for two mega-stars (Paul Simon and Emmylou Harris) and moving them both to applaud enthusiastically at the Polar Music Awards indicates how these two brilliantly talented ladies are respected in the music business. One day, they will be the recipients of such an award and many more.

I'm late to the party, but I JUST discovered this incredible duo. OH MY! I've loved Emmylou Harris for years and years, and found this duo from a YT comment for an Emmylou video (Tulsa Queen). I don't know what this current style would be classified as---------maybe Indie Folk? But as far as I'm concerned this is the quality sound of the good American Country music of the '70's. I agree with the other comments that the Swedish having a better understanding of our musical past than the current crop of noise making clowns is quite ironic. I can't name three contemporary Top Ten Country "artists," but I'll NOT soon forget First Aid Kit. I'm heading to Amazon now to buy CDs!

@nachaphuma All the people mentioned were/are famous country singers. Emmylou Harris (the only one still alive) is famous on her own and then also famously duetted with Gram Parsons. Gram is also mentioned in the song. He had a short career & life and was better known after his death. I'll be your June... refers to June Carter Cash who sang with her family The Carter Family. You be my Johnny refers to Johnny Cash, June's husband and very famous country singer who she also duetted with.
