I’ve only warched UK version, which is quite nice, most of the time you see that the production has done their homework and people really are looking for a relationship. Today for the first time I’ve watched USA, NZ and Canadian versions and I don’t get the same vibe. Nice people are matched with weirdos and people are rude with no manners. I found the guy rather weird, verging on bizarre. I suppose he's very intellectual and introspective, but he has some strange ideas on eg hating the sun, loving the moon, being a kind of vampire etc! He needs a woman who's equally quirky and "different" - and I'm sure there's someone out there for him. I liked the woman, thought she was pleasant, nice looking. But of course she is much more normal and conventional than the guy. It was obvious to me that she was going to reject him.
