I am amazed at your calmness while doing the climb. This climbing is so beyond anything I could even imagine doing. I admire your work. John

Fun videos to watch, thank you. The first person perspective can be way more informative than the pics on mountain project; and maybe the best alternative to locations that prohibit drones. Stay safe, climb on, and produce more videos.

I have been waiting for this video for ages, did not disappoint. Also I forgot how damn far you can reach, watching the first moves of P2 being avoided entirely is a real joy to watch :P

That's right! I forgot you were the first one to request this climb. Glad you enjoyed it.

Hey man, I’ve been climbing with a GoPro recently and have found that the footage seems really jammed up against the rock and not quite depicting what I’m actually doing, your videos don’t have that problem xD I’ve tried messing with the angle and whatnot, but after I pack my helmet the angle moves so even if I find a decent position it gets messed up after, in the beginning of your career with a GoPro did you run into these problems, and if so how did you counteract them?

I'm getting dry mouth just watching this...I have found that an essential part of the rack in the gunks after a dry spell is a slung water bottle.

I usually go with a Camelback but just didn't have it on me this day.

How do you like the red & orange totems? Floppy? Bomber? Better than C4's?

How do you get all your stuff back after you done climbing

His belayer "follows" the route he took while the leader (who you watched) provides a belay from above. The follower cleans the route and either leads the next pitch with the gear or gives it back to the leader

A Gunks climber with no Tricams on his rack?!
@arperfect184 жыл бұрын
no one needs tricams. nuts or cams-even knots over tricams.
@pbuehner4 жыл бұрын
@@arperfect18 I love tricams for the rock type and horizontal cracks of the Gunks. They are bomber when placed correctly and easy to remove. To each their own. Good luck with those knots. Are you from Elbsandstein or something?
@arperfect184 жыл бұрын
nope, just a local at the gunks. can’t argue with to each their own! hope you climb happy and well into your old age.

@@arperfect18 Right back at you. I learned to climb at the Gunks but haven't been back in years. Still my favorite trad area.

Runners too short-- walking the cams,, and biner gates against the rock.. Fine tune your gear work i would suggest.
