Trad Climbing the Multi-pitch "Dream of Wild Turkeys" - Pitch 2 in Red Rocks, NV

A Black Velvet canyon classic, "Dream of Wild Turkeys". 11 pitches and some 4th class/5.easy soloing to the top was on the menu for this day and man was it ever worth it. In part because while topping out and hiking off the same path as it's more popular cousin "Epinephrine", and hiking in and out the road to the Black Velvet Canyon parking lot, we still managed a car to car day less then 12 hours. No stressing. No climbing or descending the dark. Nothing but a great time.

Is the name a pun on Dream of Wild Horses on Gogarth cliff in Wales, UK? Or did this climb come first? Or is it a complete coincidence?

from Mountain Project: "A "Turkey" was a name given to someone who did not conform to the purist climbing standards, see in dictionary under "Kook." Jorge and Joanne politely responded to their given titles by self-professing and naming the route "Dream of Wild Turkeys."" Could be based on that climb though I have no clue.

Loving the videos and the classic climbs, they bring back good memories. What gopro version are you using, and what lens width setting? I've always found that a lot of gopro footage seems too distorted for my liking, but your settings are looking good.

This was shot with a GoPro Hero 5 Session. I believe the fov is 115 (default setting). I also didn't use any sort of stabilization, which can contribute to the distortion effect. That and the position it's mounted on my helmet.
