I guess this can backfire USA and Nvidia market. Probably this will slowdown AI race with US at the moment, but if they start building their own Nvidia kinda chip with cheaper price, then world start looking towards china and buy thier chips with cheaper price. Exactly same thing happened with Chinese BYD car. Let stop this curbs/restrictions in export or else they gonna make same thing as BYD cars. If this rule is passed, it will be the biggest blunder of this decade. What makes NVIDIA so special is its Cuda software ecosystem. China has the chips produced by Huawei, but the only issue is the software. Now, the US is pushing China to corner itself and force it to dramatically enhance the software. I believe that in five years, China will have true competitors to NVIDIA and will fiercely compete in other markets outside of the US and its five-eye allies. NVIDIA’s dominance will be over and face Chinese cheaper alternatives. I will be sad since I have invested a lot of money into NVIDIA. Besides Woke, what else has Biden administration has done?
