In India, risk takers I.e. entrepreneurs are not respected. Ease of doing business is only on paper. Eg. If a small IT company or online marketing company employing about 25 to 20 employees, starts a business in a rented residential premises, the local govt will not allow it unless tax on rented premises is increased from residential status to commercial status. The tax on commercial premises could be 3 to 4 times of residential premises. This leads to rampant corruption. While lawyers are allowed to start their services from residential premises it is allowed but for a small IT company, or online marketing company it is not allowed . Why so ? Then there are complicated GST and Income tax laws which are not people friendly. So people do not wish to become enterprenuers. They would be rather contended to be job seekers.

India is heavily dominated by a few elites which makes it difficult also such a reliance & adani. They even ventured into retail and consumer market which government are suppose to promote to SMEs. i was offered a job in india and gosh the package offered is not transparent. Its offered in Cost to Company (CTC) with many hidden cost and taxes which the number i find it hard to believe. For example, they mentioned housing for expats will be USD 1,900/month in CTC for a 2 bedroom apartment in Gujarat excluding utilities and i have to pay the tax !. That's even more expensive than in Dubai ! I just want to know my net salary after tax and that they are not able to provide the right info most likely because it will not look attractive enough. So yeah, no offence but i do feel that India has complicated system which discourage SMEs and investments.

Fertility in India has fallen heavily in recent times, so population will be taken care.
@geofflepper32075 ай бұрын
Almost every region of India now has a fertility rate below replacement level. India's population will keep increasing for a while but only because currently there are a lot of young people at the age when people have children and there are relatively few elderly people at the age when people pass away. China, Japan, Korea and other countries also have parents who want their children to get married and to produce grandchildren but young people are not having many babies anyway. I don't know if India's fertility rate will fall as low as it is in those countries but I think it likely that India's fertility rate will continue to fall because that is what has happened in almost every country in the world. In Iran the fertility rate fell from 5.5 to 1.5 in barely more than one generation. Don't be surprised if in ten years India's fertility rate is just 1.5.

Reducing working hours could be a simple and effective solution to address unemployment in India. Here's how it might work: 1. **Job Sharing**: By decreasing the number of hours individuals work, more shifts and positions can open up, allowing more people to be employed without increasing the total work output. 2. **Increased Workforce Participation**: Shorter workdays can lead to improved work-life balance, making it easier for more people, such as women and older workers, to participate in the workforce. 3. **Productivity Boost**: Shorter hours often lead to better productivity during work hours, reducing burnout and improving overall employee efficiency. However, it requires a balance to ensure businesses maintain their output while redistributing work.

Government of India muat talk with other governments of other nations and where there is a scarcity of young manpower, India can supply. People can thus get resident permits in these places that need manpower and can return to India after years of work. Or, if they choose, they can get citizenship there. As an Asian raised and grew up in France due to the Vietnam war, went to university and the major I studied for had 5000+ students in the whole France. In ma class, we were 20 students: 1) 5 students had perfect grades(20/20). 2) 5 students had grades of 15-19/20 3) 5 students had grades of 10-14/20 4) 5 students failed I was among the 3) however my grades only hit 10/20. I realized that if there was a job opening…14 of the students above me would have the job before me. Now competing with the whole France 5000+ candidates…where would I stand…at the bottom. I left for America late 80…now closer to retirement…I did pretty well. India has a huge population and the job market is so small…Indians are smart, if you can…go abroad. Capitalism is not good in the 21 century…PROFIT only that is matter. Profit=Less manpower, lots of productivities.
