The original goal of Shanghai Co-Operation Organisation (SCO) was to contain Religious Extremists and Separatists in the region, and for last 21 years, its purpose has been achieved that much less incidents took place in the region. Its not an Economic oganistion, nor a military organisation, but simply a organisation to maintain regional peace.

I think..China will be a problem no matter what..for BRICS too. My point is..China is the biggest economy in BRICKS and they are just getting better, inspite of India rising too. They hare the biggest exporters. BRICKS will have problems in agreeing the Currency Excange rates..! Every nation will evaluate its currency as best..? Even though backed by gold ? How does it work ?.. If China is the biggest exporter in Bricks along wirh Russia exporting oil, being these two nations to evaluate their currency as leader. IT will be interesting to see what happens however the idea of BRICKS is very good. Freedom of trading and freedom of curency.
