I think the right way to describe him is mature, knowledgeable & experienced...? Juxtaposed with his younger self's persona it definitely seems that way to me. He's like... the best version of his younger self that his younger self wishes to be. It's very odd in a sense that it makes him seem older and youthful at the same time, like, he's still very much a 22-year-old, just an older and wiser 22-year-old, but Idk😅.

I like this post b/c every day I lose hope in believing that people will ever overcome the myopic belief that media is truth or all that a person is. These days everyone feels that the internet can provide a full understanding of it all. Nobody is willing to say they don't know something, or can't believe that the internet mostly provides circumferential information. A video is a fact, even without context. A person is what other people say they are. What people are always willing to do is talk shit, judge, and make negative assumptions. Your comment made me a little bit happier. Good on you.

You know what, though? He's right. I saw an interview with Bill Burr on Conan and he mentioned the same thing about Justin Bieber. He said something to the effect of "If I was 19 years old and had a personal limo driver who wasn't taking me to prom, I'd do the same shit.". What do you expect a young person to do when they achieve fame and money at a young age? John knows. He wasn't as young as Bieber when he hit the mainstream, but he was in his lower 20's and that's pretty damn young, too. I'm sure he regrets lots of things from when he was younger, but that's part of the game. As long as you realize that when you are older, you will have achieved equilibrium.

TheAwesomeStuff that’s because he went through a douchebag phase about 10 years ago. He said some really crazy stuff to the press and was dating a lot of A-list women.
