Scott, the blonde, is a baritone with a large vocal range. Mitch, is a counter tenor with a crazy huge vocal range, he even has whistle notes. Matt Salee, is the bass that took over for the original bass Avi. Kirstie, said like thirsty, is the mezzo soprano and only female of the group. Her vocal range is also crazy huge and her whistle notes are perfection. Finally, Kevin, the amazing beatboxer of the group is multi talented! He can play the saxophone and cello good enough that he has played both on stage at Carnegie Hall. He invented celloboxing (beat boxing while playing cello. He has a beautiful tenor voice,but it's not generally used much, sadly. Kevin also can speak numerous languages, including fluent manderin Chinese. Oh and on top of that, he was pre med at Harvard. Yeah, he's pretty amazing!

Try Obscuring the video through opacity or by fading it out or blocking it or something. It seems to have helped a lot of people who have tried to post
@Badger777222 жыл бұрын
Their "Evolution of..." videos are all done live, in one take, no cuts, no edits. They don't seem to have as much trouble getting blocked, I think partially because they're all medleys, sometimes of multiple artists, so SME doesn't have a say in the matter. There are a number of them - Evolution of Music, Michael Jackson, Ariane Grande, Rihanna, Beyoncé. There's even a live performance of Evolution of Michael Jackson from their live Popspring 2016 concert in Japan.

Many reactors put a filter over their Pentatonix videos. They too, have gotten blocked. Some have the videos very small or almost translucent also. Good luck. We probably have seen them and are watching your reaction. :). Avi, the bearded bass has a channel of his solo music and it’s fantastic!

I saw them in concert in 2018 in Washington State. Hands down the best concert I had been to. Avi Kaplan is the bass singer who left on good terms in 2017. He has quite a good solo career going on. The new Bass is Matt Sallee, the tall lead off singer is Scott Hoying, the singer with the high voice is Mitch Grassi. The woman is Kirstin Moldonado, and last but not least Kevin Olusola the beatboxer/singer/classically trained cellist/and speaks fluent Mandarin. he has some solo stuff you should check out, Down by Marian Hill that he does a cover of will blow your mind. Oh and Kirstin, Scott & Mitch all grew up together in Arlington Texas.

Sorry about the blocking. Things that other reactors do -- reduce the size of the video, increase the transparency, overlay a graphic, blur all or part, etc. If all else fails don't show the video at all; we want to see / hear your reaction and the fans have seen the videos multiple times.

👉👉We PENTAHOLICS don't mind if you put filters on the videos so they won't get blocked as long as you continue reacting to THE GREATEST A CAPELLA band in the WORLD PENTATONIX!!

I’m so glad you decided to continue on the PTX journey. Thousands of reactors have had the same problem with blocks. Don’t give up. Many Pentaholics can offer advise on that. I hope to see you fall in love with these guys like all of us Pentaholics have 😁🤘🏼🙌🏼 My PTX request is “Evolution of Micheal Jackson” Kevin and Avi will blow you away ~Pentaholic from Louisiana 🐊 BTW…..Mitch is my favorite 😉

Yea alot of people have suggested in the past I create a patreon, and the blocked videos can go over there along with members recommendations. Still thinking about it.

Also, in the Evolution of MJ, it’s done in 1 take and the transitions are ridiculous 😁 I believe Mitch channeled MJ in that one 😜

@@FischtankProductions I think patreon is an ok solution depending on how it's done. When people start doing most of their ptx reactions on only patreon, yeah that sucks. But many pentatonix reactors do the reaction on youtube with a video filter (or sometimes without the video at all), and then the unblocked version on patreon. That way people don't feel like you're "using someone elses creation to make money" and us who can't/don't want to support on patreon don't miss reactions.

🤟🏻 If you like the more bouncy, uplifting, faster stuff, perhaps have a try with 90s Dance Medley, Cheerleader (Omi Cover), Daft Punk Medley, Rather be or if you're brave enough 🤪 the XMas Song Oh Come All Ye Faithful which has african-caribean vibes. Thx for your great reaction ❤️

Avi Kaplan, the bearded guy, does solo work which is amazing. he is out on a short tour now. Mitch Grassi, the one you thought sounded like a girl, has a once in a lifetime voice. he sings low for him this song. Watch "Aha" Singapore Star Vista, you get to hear Avi's lowest low, and some of Mitch's highest highs, it is also a very fast song.

I've watched a lot of reactions to Pentatonix and I have yet to see any kind of logical pattern of what gets blocked. Some reactors seem to have no problem and others can't post at all. So no sense trying to figure out the blocking game. I appreciate your efforts, in any case.
@TBean906752 жыл бұрын
I've seen a bunch of reactors who slightly blur or cover the screen with opacity to avoid getting blocked or dinged. I think it may be a video infringement...don't know for sure. But so glad you watched one of their live vids! Proves that they are legit in every sense of the word! If you wanna hear an awesome drum kit from Kevin...check out their Daft Punk medley! I do hope you continue to pursue the PTX reactions…so many good reactors have given up on PTX because of SME (Sony) and/or KZbin! BTW it was Sony that dropped the contract that they were given as part of their “prise” for winning NBC’s Sing Off! Said they weren’t “commercial” enough🤬
@perfectkismet2 жыл бұрын
You're definitely gonna get demonitized with PTX... the blocking is almost always the visuals rather than the sound. People utilize all kinds of tricks, most prevalently lowering the opacity, using moving filters and putting text across the video. Some get frustrated enough that they just don't put the video up at all and while that's not ideal, as long as it's clear that *you* are watching, most fans prefer that to no reaction at all. I hope you continue with PTX despite the frustration. You're fun.

So glad that you took Pentatonix on. I have never heard the version with the drums before with them. It was nice but it's better when they sing it with just them. Maybe this was for the live version or something I don't know. It makes me happy to watch people discover Pentatonix. I love just listening and seeing the enthusiastic expressions and sounds that come out when someone first hear their songs.

I hope you continue to jump through all the hoops of covering pentatonix because it's so fun to see your reactions to them. Pentatonix themselves likes reactors, have been friendly and recognized some long time big ones, talked about watching them etc in the past. So it's a labeö thing and not a band thing, thankfully. But still annoying and gives you more work with less reward. I selfishly hope you still do it!

I agree but with the caveat that you should react to The Prayer and Over the River first, as it'll be kinda spoilery if not. The Prayer is, granted, a slower song, but the harmonies are exquisite, and Over the River will be unlike any version you've ever heard before!

You'll have alot of people telling you to contest the block arguing fair use. I'll go one better. Only react to the PTX Vevo official videos and argue that due to Sony and youtube partnering in owning the Vevo channel they have given you permission to create non exclusive, royalty free, derivatives of their content due to the rights granted section of the youtube terms of use. The exact wording is as follows : Rights you Grant You retain ownership rights in your Content. However, we do require you to grant certain rights to KZbin and other users of the Service, as described below. License to KZbin By providing Content to the Service, you grant to KZbin a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable and transferable license to use that Content (including to reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works, display and perform it) in connection with the Service and KZbin’s (and its successors' and Affiliates') business, including for the purpose of promoting and redistributing part or all of the Service. License to Other Users You also grant each other user of the Service a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to access your Content through the Service, and to use that Content, including to reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works, display, and perform it, only as enabled by a feature of the Service (such as video playback or embeds). For clarity, this license does not grant any rights or permissions for a user to make use of your Content independent of the Service.
