On our recent journey to Ontario, Missy and I decided to make a delightful detour to Rimouski, Quebec. This charming town, nestled along the shores of the St. Lawrence River, offered us a serene and picturesque stopover that we will cherish for a long time.
A Culinary Delight at Place Lemieux
Our adventure led us to Place Lemieux, a local gem known for its delectable fish and chips. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel right at home when we walked in. We eagerly ordered their signature dish, and it did not disappoint. The fish was perfectly cooked, with a crispy golden batter encasing tender, flaky fish. The chips were equally impressive, with just enough crunch and seasoning.
While we thoroughly enjoyed the main course, we found the prices to be higher. However, the food quality and the overall dining experience made it worth every penny.
A Mixed Review on the Coleslaw
Missy, however, had mixed feelings about the coleslaw that accompanied our meal. She found it less appealing than the rest of the dish. Despite this minor setback, it didn't dampen our spirits or our overall enjoyment of our meal.
Dining by the St. Lawrence River
One of the highlights of our visit was the stunning view of the St. Lawrence River from Place Lemieux. The serene waters and the gentle breeze created a perfect backdrop for our dinner. We spent some time after our meal strolling along the shore, taking in the river's beauty and Rimouski's peaceful ambiance.
A Memorable Stop
Our stop in Rimouski was a perfect blend of culinary delight and natural beauty. Place Lemieux, with its delightful fish and chips and its scenic location, provided us with a memorable dining experience. Even though the coleslaw didn't quite hit the mark for Missy, the overall experience was overwhelmingly positive.
As we continued our journey to Ontario, we carried fond memories of Rimouski and the wonderful time we spent at Place Lemieux. If you ever find yourself in this charming town, we highly recommend stopping by for a meal and enjoying the serene beauty of the St. Lawrence River.

91$ .... Dont know how you can ask such a price for what was served ....Even Downtown Toronto Michelin Star restaurants dont charge that much!

Couple recommendations for fish and chips are at The Fisherman's restaurant in Shediac and Chez Camille in Cap-Pile. Two places I enjoy and are the prices are reasonable. 73 de VE9MAH

can buy a pound of wild caught Alaskan cod for 9.99 to 13.99 a pound in Michigan......restaurants will be no more!!!

Combine this with 20 to 25% tips, it gets too expensive fast...Missy and I normally eat a take outs and food trucks now. But food trucks are getting stupid expensive as well.
