Used your recipe but modified it slightly to suit my Malaysian taste buds. Added tamarind paste to bring out the fish taste. Also, Thai chilli paste and preseserved mustard were used as condiments together with blanched bean sprouts and sliced cabbage. It was good. Will make it again. Thanks.

what brand of curry paste do you use?
@vivianneskitchen52558 жыл бұрын
may saechao I used Maesri brand for the curry paste. Mae Ploy curry paste is also a good brand but I think the Maesri has a bit more punch😀.

what is galangal?

Susie Ly Galangal is a root in the rhizome family, which looks similar to ginger. It has a sharp citrusy, almost piney flavor. The fresh galangal is very hard and slicing require a sharp knife. It is widely used in South-East Asian cuisine. Ginger, has a softer brown skin that can easily be peeled with a spoon and a softer flesh that can easily be grated. It has a mildly spicy taste. Hope this helps😀.
