Rick, I hold a Master Captain License. In Captain School they teach us what you said about adding wiring to your boat that was not installed at the factory. Most bass fishing is done inland however, not always. If there was a fire on your boat or the Coast guard did a boat inspection they will cite you for not having the correct wiring and the fines can be excessive. You are also liable for injuries if that is the reason that cause a fire on your boat. Just throwing some household wiring on your boat instead of marine wiring can cause many bad issues. Great advice Rick!

Rick, thank you for your informative videos. Have you made the upgrade to the GT56-UHD transducer yet? If so, is it worth the upgrade from the GT54-UHD transducer with the Garmin Echomap Ultra 106sv Graphs? Will I notice the difference in detail and clarity to justify the $400 cost? Or save my nickels, dimes, and quarters for the next 2023 Bass Pro Shops Black Friday Sale? Please advise. Thank you.

Sorry Santiago but that’s a decision you have to make on your own based on what is most important to you and the type of fishing you do. I’m more about locating structure than pinpointing fish so the GT54 serves my purposes, I haven’t made the jump, have a great day!!
