Some krill oil supplements recommend not exceeding a certain number of soft gel tablets. Is there a danger in taking "too much" krill oil? Especially given how small the tablets are
@addictivewellness3 ай бұрын
Sure, it's always possible to have too much of a good thing. Regardless of which of these oils you consume, taking way too much can have effects like blood thinning, GI issues, and maybe even excess levels of certain fat-soluble vitamins.

Also the retinoid contained in this one should not be taken during pregnancy due to the teratogenic effect of all retinoids

Isn't the process of extracting krill oil quite harsh? It gets pretty confusing with all the different sources. I think there was one channel where the Dr said something about gasoline and another chemical being used and that they stick into the supplement.

Thanks for your question! I know it can get confusing with all the different information out there. The process of extracting oils, including krill oil, varies depending on the manufacturer. Some cheaper or older methods might involve harsh chemicals like hexane (which can be mistaken for gasoline), but reputable brands typically avoid these methods today. Most high-quality krill oil supplements use more advanced extraction techniques, like cold pressing or supercritical CO2 extraction, which don’t involve harmful chemicals and ensure the purity of the oil. It’s always a good idea to look for transparency in the company’s extraction methods and certifications to guarantee you’re getting a clean product. Hope that clears things up!

@@FunnyWisdomShorts Yes I have. They’re in the average range. I know that the ranges were created following the standards of healthy Caucasian men. I’m sure measurements for women are quite different. Taking that into consideration, I don’t know if my numbers truly reflect my healthy average?

Any thoughts on the possible link between Krill Oil supplements and prostate cancer?
@addictivewellness3 ай бұрын
The evidence linking omega-3 fatty acids to prostate cancer is inconclusive and not well understood. The studies suggesting a potential association are far from proving that omega-3s cause cancer. For a more in-depth analysis of this, I'd recommend googling "PMCID: PMC6179880" 🙏🏼
